“Need of renovation asap!”
Reviewed 26 September 2013 via mobile

This hotel is far from a 4 star hotel, and the price level is pretty to much. The room was old and dirty and water from the bathroom flows out into the main room carpet. This hotel need to be fully renovated as soon as possible.
The hotel has a perfect location close to the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Élysées, so it should be a good prospect for a major renovation project.

My daughter and I spent three nights in the Amarante Champs Elysees from May 11th.The staff were charming and helpful-the best I have encountered. The location was perfect, a few minutes from the RER station, the Arc de Triomphe ,city bus tour stop and many restaurants. The River Seine and Eiffel Tower were within walking distance. Our room, traditionally decorated, was roomy, cosy and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide selection of fruit, breads, pastries, yoghurt, cereal, meat and cheeses. There was also egg and sausage for those who prefer hot food. If I visit Paris again, I will definitely stay here.

Better than expected. Great location juts off Champs Elyse’s, very fast check-in where you receive
very big and very heavy key ( so old-school ) and some kind of card activating the lights. Be aware
the lifts are bit scary a the corridors slightly horror movie inspired. My room was on 5th floor, quite spacious,
clean with flat TV, safe, and small bottle of wine ( for purchase). Bed was very comfortable. Note, that there is no complimentary water and Wi-Fi is payable by 20Euro/24 hrs…totally unacceptable. Bathroom was nice, with decent selection of toiletries and crisp white towels. Room rate includes buffet breakfast which is good selection of the usual breakfast stuff in cute basement room. When you let receptionist call you a taxi make sure you ask for normal city one otherwise they will call a black Mercedes with slightly different pricing. One more thing….the windows are not isolating any noise from the outside which may be a bit disturbing. In general…I was happy with my stay…but probably will try a different place next time.

the hotel is just 2 min to georgeV metro st. 10 min to Airfrance Airport bus on foot.
This is a cosy French style hotel as interior is classical, old fashioned but not terrible.
actually the rates a bit problem if one wants a hotel below 200 EUR/double room BB.
Paris is very expensive at this district but one can find many choices in other districts as Paris metro is so efficient.
Rooms in Amarant are not so big but good enough for 2 persons if you do not have 2 very big suit-cases.
Internet is not included and expensive in this century even though the cost is around 10cent/per room per day. This is the most ugly way to earn money.
Make sure have your water if you do not drink tap water.
room drinks are so expensive.
mineral water (still) in Paris is available but not nearby Amarante. There is only one pharmacy sells Volvic 3 eur per bottle (1,5 lt).
If you walk in the Champs there are a couple of supermarkets.
Breakfast is fine but French style. Coffee is average. Cheese and cold meat products are available with scrambled egg. Limited fruits and cereal also avaibale. Breakfast room has no window as it is at the lower ground, a small area.

Room Tip: be far from 2 lifts.

The hotel's location is excellent, and from the outside it looks nice and quaint. The hotel employees were hospitable and welcoming. However, the hotel interior does look worn and tired. The rooms are small but not unusual for Paris hotels. The bathrooms are newer, but do need some paint touch ups. The room windows are large and open up nicely to a flowered balcony - a nice touch. The morning breakfast is a very small buffet. Good food and just right for a quick morning fix, but that's about it. If you are looking for a much better hotel just a block away, try the Radisson Blu Champs Élysées, one of my favorites. It is a bit more expensive but worth the premium!

A Tired Hotel In Good Location but not 4 stars
A good looking Hotel that we found pleasant and comfortable however with reservations
The rooms were clean however they needed some TLC as the décor looked tired and a dirty
Air con did not work and room was extremely warm. Wallpaper looked shabby
The rooms we had were nothing like the photos
Lift looked like it could break at any moment
Breakfast 25 Euros
All in all this was not a 4 Star Hotel however the location was good

Room Tip: Make sure you are not on the 5th floor
