We stayed here on two separate occasions. The first time we stayed here, we were very happy with the room, because we were on the top floor (8th floor) with a view of the Sacre Coeur, from a distance. Because there were only 3 rooms on that floor, naturally, it was quiet.

The second time we stayed there, we got the first floor. The noise from the street below can be heard, as well as noise from the room next door.

The hotel is not very new, shower temperature is also quite tricky to use, water supply is also not constant. Another thing I was not very happy about is the lack of manpower in the hotel. There are only 2 people in the reception and one bellhop at a time. When we were checking out, we asked for help to bring down our luggage (since we had 5 luggages), it took all of 20 minutes before the lone bellhop could help us bring down our luggages! Those 20 minutes can be very crucial when you are trying to catch a flight like we were.

I would like to commend one of the bellhops though. Said was very helpful during our stay. He was always light on his feet and anticipated what the guests needed. When one of our luggages accidentally gave, he helped us try to fix the bag without us even having to ask for help. We truly appreciated his helpfulness.

Room Tip: Choose a higher floor if you want to avoid street noise. The 8th floor would be good as there are l...

Dear GIAJane,

Thank you for taking the time to post your review on Tripadvisor. We appreciate your honest opinion as it is important for us to learn firsthand from our guests in which areas we succeed and where we need to improve in order to provide the best experience possible.
It is worth noting that we always do our best to accomodate our guests and try to find a suitable alternative, should they find their room not to their liking (depending on the hotel's occupancy, of course) and we would have been more than willing to allocate you another room upon request.
As for the delay in bringing down your luggage, we truly apologize for this as we can perfectly understand it can be an issue when on a tight schedule. We were very pleased, however, to read your kind words regarding our bellboy Said and we will be sure to let him know of your appreciation.

Thank you for choosing Millennium Paris Opera and we hope to welcome you again very soon!

Kind regards,

Eli Lazovsky

You can walk to all the main attraction from this hotel, it has antique furniture which appeared quite out dated and tiring, the bedding is not very comfortable, with our King bed there is quite a gap between the 2 twin bed that put together. Our room has very spotty wifi, need to go to the door to connect with the hotel wifi. The hotel has great potential, the room and bathroom are big ...overall it is a pleasant stay with the price we paid.

Good location if you want to stay in the Opera area. No view, as my room overlooked the interior of the hotel.

The rooms are large by Paris standards. The shower is a problem, as it is difficult to get the right temperature due to the two water knobs.

The service is OK. The breakfast is somewhat uncoordinated, with no method in the placement of dishes.

Overall, good value if you are paying around EUR 200-250 for a single, else you could look elsewhere.

Just about to check out from our visit to Paris. The room is lovely with very comfortable bedding. All the bath amenities one would expect. WiFi works very well. The front desk staff was extremely helpful as my French is very limited. I must send special thanks to Karim in the restaurant/bar! He certainly went above and beyond all expectations. Karim made us feel like very special guests indeed. He is such a treasure! Will definitely visit again!

After several trips to Paris, everyone chooses their favorite place in the city to stay. I admit my review is colored by other experiences in the city but I wanted to experiment with staying someplace new.

If the following things are important to you, then this isn't the right place:
1. Avoiding a hotel that has large tour buses depositing tourists into the city.
2. A hotel that is not 'old school'. The biggest clue here that management is firmly stuck in the pre-technology age is their paper survey they drop at your door. Seriously? Even the tiniest hotels in France send you electronic surveys to complete at your leisure anonymously.
3. A front desk that has both a reception and a concierge. The front desk here is overwhelmed with just the checkin and check out process. Personal attention is not what they are geared to do.

General comments:
Rooms are, on average, bigger than most downtown prime time Paris hotels. Bed is comfortable. Lighting could be better. Wifi in the room was working well. Agree with the other writers that maintenance is needed on the property. We opened our window to the street only to find that the upper hinge was broken and the whole upper window could have been in our lap.

Dear BethR157,

I would like to thank you for taking the time to submit a review on Tripadvisor. Reffering to the title of your review, I would like to clarify that indeed at some periods we have large groups staying in our hotel which we obviously need to cater to, but I assure you that this is in no way at the expense of our individual guests who are equally important to us, and our front desk team is available at all times to attend to our guests' enquieries.
As for the old fashioned method of delivering paper guest surveys, we are currently in the process of updating it to the electronic method.
I have taken note of the maintenance issues you have encountered as well and the proper measures will be taken to rectify those.
I am sorry that you perceived our hotel as old fashioned and lacking in attention, but at the same time your feedback is important as it is a way of showing us what we are doing right and what we need to improve.

Thank you for choosing Millennium Paris Opera.

Kind regards,

Eli Lazovsky

Just returned from the city break in Paris, where we stayed at the Millennium Hotel Paris Opera.

To be fair I was a little bit worried, when I read some reviews on TA, however the hotel really delivered and it added something nice to our fantastic weekend in Paris. Overall the whole experience was very good. Apparently the hotel was full and all guests seemed very nice and friendly.

Pluses +++
- Location (very close to Louvre, Montmartre and really good restaurants)
- Our hotel room was small, but very nice. The bed was comfortable.
- The staff was extremely nice, helpful and they spoke good English.
- Free Wi-Fi in the room.

Minuses ---
- It looks like hotel needs some refurbishment. I bet it was amazing 10 years ago but it looks "worn out" in some places. It doesn't ruin the experience, however they could do some work around it, so they could improve the overall look of the hotel.

Overall it is a nice hotel and the experience was quite positive. The owners of the hotel should do some refurbishment, but for the 4* hotel I can give them a free pass for that.

We had a very nice experience here at the Millennium Hotel. After our long flight from US we arrived early in the morning. The staff was very accommodating to us as our room was not ready, we had breakfast at the restaurant adjacent to the hotel, which was a nice buffet, but service was in my opinion very slow for a restaurant that was pretty empty. The staff while friendly when approached, was not overly attentive as they are at say the Four Seasons (but not the price either!) I will say that all the staff at the desk was always helpful and friendly. A special thank you to Eddie at the front desk for suggesting a fantastic restaurant and getting us a reservation at Le Grand Venise. We had a truly wonderful dining experience and treated us extra special! Our room was a very nice suite, clean and plenty of room. Location worked really well for us to get around on the metro to where we were going in the city, including Roland Garros to see French Open!! Hope to return to Paris and I would stay at the Millennium Opera again!

Room Tip: Our suite was on 3rd floor and faced Haussman and had no problem with traffic noise.
