I recently returned from a stay at the Hotel Paris Rivoli following a stay at Disney's Sequoia Lodge in France. While the room was small, it was clean, fresh, and the hotel is conveniently located walking distance from several cafes, a subway station, and an excellent market (Monop) across the street.

Many of the reviews of this hotel cover most of the answers that one could possibly want to know. However, I will add that I would consider staying here again as it's location to the M1 subway line was a welcome relief in travelling throughout the city of Paris and beyond.

Additionally, they made our reservation for transportation back to CDG via a shuttle upon check-in. The wi-fi worked flawlessly, and while I would not usually comment on this, I will note that the Disney's Sequoia Lodge only provided daily-paid wi-fi (and the room was about 3x the cost).

In my opinion, this place is certainly recommended.

I appreciated the location, the simple but abundant breakfast and the staff cordiality.
I dindn't like the cleaning of the room: during the last day of my stay, I found an opened condom package under the wardrobe.
Finally, the value for money is very low: this is not an hotel of 140€ per day.

The highlight of this hotel was the beautiful balcony overlooking the street. We sat out there anytime we were at the hotel; starting and finishing the night with wine on the balcony. It made Paris just delightful after a long day of walking or traveling. The room wasn't as small as I was expecting. It was very modern and clean. The staff was very helpful; printing us directions and telling us the cheapest way to get to the airport. Only qualms were that breakfast is not included, which we should've asked before eating the ten euro croissants and they lock you out after a certain time without keycard access. I felt bad ringing the bell several times to wake up the manager to let us in. It is not in the greatest location, but we still walked a lot and a metro stop is very close. There are some casual bars/cafes nearby.

My husband and I stayed here from the 1st to the 4th of October. Our first impressions were very good as the hotel is very easy to get to from gare du nord, if you are traveling via Eurostar. The St - Paul stop on the Metro is quite literally a two minute walk from the hotel which makes it a great base camp to get to all of the major Paris attractions. However, if your feet can take it, all of the Metro stops are very close together so its just as easy to walk and you get to see the city that way. for example, the Lourve is a straight walk from the hotel if you come out of the main doors and turn left and carry on for 15 minutes. From there, the Champs-Élysées is about another 5 minutes in the same direction and then at the top, you have the Arc de Triomphe. If you wanted to, its easy enough to carry on walking to the Eiffel tower but I would recommend getting the Metro and then walking back to the hotel whole taking in all the sights.

On arrival we were an hour early but we were checked in and our room was ready so we could freshen up and make the most of our time in Paris.
Be aware: the rooms are small. very small. Actually, the bathroom was bigger than the bedroom. However if your are there for a short break or a business trip, its more than manageable. also, we were on the top floor so I think that this was their attic room. If you go lower, you may have a bigger room but then you are closer to the street so the traffic noise will be audible.
We were happy with the space that we have and it was all spotlessly clean. There is also a lift so they are fairly disabled friendly.
The only negative side to the room is that the facilities are limited. There are no tea and coffee making facitities at all. so I would suggest that if you want that, you take a travel kettle and teabags/coffee sachets etc. There is a mini super market directly opposite so you can get fresh milk and the room had a fridge.
Also, there was no safe in the room. the only safety deposit facilities that were provided were small lockers in the main stairwell on the ground floor. we did not use this as the idea of my passport being 6 floors below was not a nice one. However it was easy enough for us to make our own arrangements.
We had the breakfast every morning and there was a very good selection of continental. Its served between 7am and 10am so its good if you want to be up and out.
When we checked out we were able to leave our bags in the store room at no charge and then collect them whenever we wanted.

Overall the hotel was a lovely 3 star. you couldn't want anymore than you had for a short trip and the staff were all very helpful.

The hotel is only around the corner from City island, where Notre dame cathedral is. There are also many restaurants around here which we found much quieter as there is far less traffic. we ate at Le Lutetia restaurant, on Saite Louis island every night as the food quality, price and service was excellent.

When planning your trip to Paris I would recommend purchasing a Paris Pass (depending on your needs). You can pre - order them for delivery to the UK, before you go. The link to the site can be found on the Paris Wiki travel page. They are great value for money. They include any and all Metro journeys, in and around Paris (including out to Palace of Versailles), all bus journeys, a river tour cruise, open to bus tour and entry into all the museums and the majority of major attractions. This saved us SO MUCH MONEY. its worth it for the travel alone but entry to places soon wrecks up in cost if you don't have one. The only attractions not included are the Eiffel tower and the catacombs. We still did both of these are we had saved so much that we spent the spare on this! :)

We had a great stay at this hotel. I wouldn't recommend it for a two week stay, or to relax in but as a base for enjoying Paris, you cant go far wrong. Clean, friendly, great location. If/when we return to Paris, we will stay again.

Room Tip: If you want a bigger room, request a lower floor. If you want a good night sleep, request a high roo...

Our first trip to Paris was made perfect by the friendly welcome by the staff of this perfectly located hotel. Our lack of French language expertise was kindly overlooked by the English speaking staff, who were so helpful with directions and suggestions for how to get around. Our room was on the top floor (6th), and fortunately there was an elevator. The room was clean and compact, with twin beds, air conditioning, tv, and bathroom with tub. We overlooked the busy Rue de Rivoli, but the windows when closed shut out the street sounds. Our only complaint was the lighting which was dim. You might consider packing a book light. We stayed here for 10 days and would happily return.

As a group of friends ..12 of us..we descended on this small, clean, very friendly hotel in a great location close to Notre Dame, Place des Voges, metro, Bastille all within walking distance. For the non French speakers in our group (10) the staff couldn't have been more accomodating. The hotel is small and well maintained, corner rooms are the largest with good wifi, tv and ac. A special thanks to Francois on the reception desk who was always patient, friendly efficient, and even emailed me a refund when he discovered we had over paid for one room! Eause of this, and the good attributesmofmthe hotel we will be sure to reserve for our next visit.

This small hotel is wonderfully situated close to restaurants, metro, bus stations and shops in the heart of the "le Marais '' area. Our room had a great bathroom with a bathtub. We were in a back room on the first floor and it was a little noisy because it is adjacent to a restaurant -but this is Paris.Staff were efficient and friendly. This is not a luxury hotel but great value for money and its ideal position makes it a really worthwhile place to stay.

Room Tip: Choose a back room on a higher floor.
