“A gem of a hotel in a big city”
Reviewed 21 March 2014

I stayed here with my husband for a short 3 day stay in Paris. The staff were polite, attentive and helpful. The room was well decorated and fulfilled all of our requirements. The hotel was is a quiet location just off the main streets and within walking distance to the Louvre and other Paris landmarks. We found our stay here excellent value for money and would want to stay here again if we visited Paris.

This the second time I have used this hotel and again I was not disappointed, a friendly welcome from the staff when arriving, the room was clean, plenty of space. I love the location of this Hotel plenty of shops and restaurants and close to a Metro so sightseeing no problems. Will use this hotel again.

This hotel offered reasonable value in an excellent location in the Marais, near St Paul Metro.
We appreciated the many good eating places and bars nearby.

The staff were all helpful and polite, with good English. The room was a little cramped but we had a large comfortable bed, a balcony over the Rue de Rivoli and a good range of TV channels. The lift was efficient. The shower used mixer taps - not good - and the bath was very narrow at the bottom to stand in to shower. We needed more hooks and rails to hang towels and clothes in the bathroom, as we are not keen on draping these on the rail over the toilet. There were only four hangers in the wardrobe for two of us - not enough.

There was no information in the room on hotel services, not even the tel no of reception for emergencies. We had a bad experience on the first night, when a group of young English students marauded the hotel most of the night, so we got little little sleep. The staff were powerless to do anything apart from threaten to call the police. It seems to us that taking a booking for young students for eleven rooms over multiple floors was asking for trouble, as the rooms are very close together and the doors banged most of the night with the students racing around shrieking and drunk.

We arrived at this hotel early morning around 8am and to our surprise our room was ready which was pretty impressive! we had a lovely room with a balcony facing rivoli rue road, the hotel room was lovely and clean (the beds are so comfortable) this hotel is located in a great place, right by saint paul metro which takes u anywhere you need to go (main attractions) the Notre Dame Catherdral and love lock bridge is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. absolutely brilliant location with cafe's and bars situated around the hotel.

staff at the hotel were great, very helpful and spoke english :-)

Overall i rate this hotel a 4* and i definitely will be staying at this hotel when i visit Paris again!!

Nothing much to add to previous reviews. Small rooms, basic facilities, but a good location for a fleeting stay in Paris. We did have a lovely balcony which I think was a little bit extra, but worth it. Nice places for lunch and plenty of boutique shops to wander around nearby.

I recently returned from a stay at the Hotel Paris Rivoli following a stay at Disney's Sequoia Lodge in France. While the room was small, it was clean, fresh, and the hotel is conveniently located walking distance from several cafes, a subway station, and an excellent market (Monop) across the street.

Many of the reviews of this hotel cover most of the answers that one could possibly want to know. However, I will add that I would consider staying here again as it's location to the M1 subway line was a welcome relief in travelling throughout the city of Paris and beyond.

Additionally, they made our reservation for transportation back to CDG via a shuttle upon check-in. The wi-fi worked flawlessly, and while I would not usually comment on this, I will note that the Disney's Sequoia Lodge only provided daily-paid wi-fi (and the room was about 3x the cost).

In my opinion, this place is certainly recommended.

I appreciated the location, the simple but abundant breakfast and the staff cordiality.
I dindn't like the cleaning of the room: during the last day of my stay, I found an opened condom package under the wardrobe.
Finally, the value for money is very low: this is not an hotel of 140€ per day.
