Just returned from an eight night stay at the Odeon Saint-Germaine. If you are seeking a well located small boutique hotel with a superb staff, this is the place. This was our first visit to Paris and we asked a lot of questions. Whomever was at the desk could not have been more helpful with restaurant suggestions and reservations, navigating the Metro, etc. Of particular help was Jean-Francois, who helped us plan our side-trip itinerary to Normandy with suggestions about places to stop along the way and even which patisserie had the best treats in Bayeaux (La Reine Mathilde). Although our room, Number 4, was average size for a Paris hotel, the bathroom was roomier than most with a full tub and shower, and a shower curtain that actually kept the water in the tub! Separate space for the toilet with a door for privacy. Also lots of storage space provided with under the sink shelving. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Clean , hip, friendly boutique hotel in fabulous area. Able to walk everywhere. Rooms clean, and plenty of storage and closet space despite the typical small sized European room. Fantastic staff was knowlegable and helpful with recommendations for siteseeing and restaurants. They were right on each night! Free internet.
Lovely, charming lobby allows for night cap after dinner.
Would stay here again without hesitation. Very good value. Can't wait to go back!!

It's a nice boutique hotel, clean with friendly helpful staff, in a good location with plenty of restaurants/cafe's. But the rooms are very small!

Room Tip: All the rooms appear to be small, so upgrade if you can!

Our room was so tiny that the manager suggested we unpack and store our bags in the lobby because the room was so small. I was shocked at how small and it really made the stay difficult to access clothes, makeup, shoes, etc. The bathroom had nice furnishings, but again super tiny.

We did enjoy the common area near the lobby where you can grab a drink/ wine and sit down to visit and relax.

The location is fabulous. If you choose to stay here, be sure to upgrade to a more spacious room. Otherwise just fine and the staff were friendly and helpful.

This hotel has only about 24 rooms and they are small but quiet and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the lobby is welcoming and comfortable. There are walls in this hotel that date back to the 1600's! Located on a small one way street with shops, restaurants, stores, and regular local Parisian apartments all around. Can walk quickly to metro or bus. Walk to the Louvre in about 20-30 minutes. Best area to stay in Paris.

I had a single room which was quite small but with a large and comfortable bed. The windows looked onto a dreary inner space, just drainpipes and scruffy walls - however this meant that the room was extremely quiet, and I could have the windows open, a good thing as the room was very hot and I couldn't work out a way of turning down the radiator.
The location of this hotel is wonderful, but I have stayed in other hotels nearby, especially the Grand Hotel des Balcons, which is just as nice but much cheaper and if I return to Paris I'd certainly book that hotel rather than the Odeon.

As breakfast was expensive we had coffee and croissants at Les Editeurs, just round the corner - highly recommended for service and atmosphere.

We are in Paris visiting our daughter who is studying here for the semester. This neighborhood came highly recommended. The hotel has great charm. We stayed here in a triple with our 16 year old son. The room isn't big but it is comfortable. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They all speak English. We love it here and would recommend this hotel.
