“BEWARE, they will charge you twice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 September 2011

This hotel itself is great! We got a beautiful and large family room at 153 Euros online with Best Western.. however, when we reserved they charged our card; we brought this to Best Western's attention and a reply from Michael, the desk clerk, kept assuring us that it was only a hold, even though the credit card company said it was a charge. When we got there he charged us again! Back to the hotel... it is only a couple of blocks from the Champs-Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe and they have a free computer to use in the lobby--but the mouse is frustrating. Go there, but pay cash!!!

The single rooms are very small, bathroom is a wet room which means you shower is on the wall beside the toilet.
The isle room is the best one in the hotel. Spacious, larger full size bathroom.
Rooms are very clean.
Lift is very small. Two person max. You don't want to be on the third floor or higher in the hotter summer months. They are warm up there.
Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Warmly greeted by receptionist. We were given one out of two rooms early which was great as we were travelling with our kids. Clean comfortable rooms. Good breakfast variety. nice hotel water in bathrooms.Towels werent changed regularly, size of rooms was small but thats typical of Paris. Lift wasnt working though receptionist apologised for this. Close to supermarkets. The one on the left as you leave the hotel is cheaper and more variety compared to the one on the right. To get to Arc De Triomphe turn left from hotel as its closer. Literally 5 mins away.

Room Tip: All rooms seemed standard and dont have any impressive views.

The hotel was situated in a really nice area, it was well presented, the room was a nice size and very clean. Service was excellent and the staff helpful. Only small snag was the Tea/Coffee in the room did not include sufficient milk on the first night, and no milk at all on the second night. But we bought some fresh milk ourselves on the second day, at the little store up the road to enjoy the tea/coffee. Compared to the many dreadful hotels (also 3 star) that I have stayed in, this was a pleasure!

We had a room on the top (6th) floor. The bathroom was big and clean and had hairdryer in it. The room was big enough for a wardrobe and desk as well as the minibar and safe. The reception staff were nice and spoke english. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from champs elysees and the arc de triomphe and is easily accesible from the metro (Ternes being the closest). Breakfast at the cafes/restaurants/hotel is pretty expensive but there is a cafe on avenue wagam called la croisanterie that sells croissants and pain au chocolat etc for about 1.20 euros.

Overall happy with the hotel quality and location!

Room Tip: non smoking rooms are at the top floors

Front desk ppl are very helpful and nice. Location is near ternes station on metro line 2 which they didn't mention in the website. You won't regret if you choose this hotel.

This hotel won't be a highlight of your trip to Europe, but if you get a good deal on it, it's worth considering. Nothing was offensive, but a lot of it is pretty blah.

Some examples: 80F (26C) in the room on a winter day, thermostat locked to "central control", no way to cool down but to open the window and let in noise. Crappy pillows. Breakfast buffet costs €13 but the coffee (instant from machine), orange juice (watered down Tropicana) and croissants (a la frozen Pillsbury) are junk.
