Location, apartment layout, and amenities all perfect. The river cruise was a bonus.
Our ten day stay went exactly as expected. No mishaps or bad surprises. Clearly the best accommodations we have had in many trips to Paris.
The size of the apartment and amenities provided were excellent. The location was also great. We loved that umbrellas are now provided; the "stash" cupboard (with spare batteries, sewing kit etc) was a brilliant idea. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to use the river cruise tickets, but thought their inclusion in our package was a lovely touch. We also loved our greeter, Joanna! She was extremely good - prompt, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. She even provided us with an excellent restaurant recommendation. She is an asset to the Cobblestone family. We look forward to returning and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cobblestone to anyone wanting a fantastic stay in Paris.
Seriously. Best. Vacation. Ever. My husband and I loved the authenticity of the apartment, it's central location, and its security behind the gate. Our place, the metro, and a few basic French phrases, it was easy to imagine living in Paris.
We loved this apartment. The secret passage is wonderful with much greenery and tiny artisanal shops.
The apartment was pretty much immaculate when we moved in. The decor is really nice. The exposed beams give it a lot of character.
The kitchen was fully equipped and even had some food basics for cooking. Not that we cooked as we wanted to eat out as much as possible. But it was great to brew a pot of coffee in the morning and nip across the road to the boulangerie for croissants. And relax with a drink in the evening before setting out for dinner.
The bed as very comfortable The window opens into the passage and you hear people moving about and talking as the day begins, certainly not as noisy as looking out onto a street. Bathroom was nicely appointed, water pressure is good.
We loved the washer and dryer as this was our final stop on a 11 day visit to France. We could pack less knowing we could wash clothes.
I scoped out the initial meeting point on Google Streetview and there was a dog in the picture. patiently sitting outside the boulangerie without a leash presumably waiting for the owner. We talked about how good french doggies are. Well when I went out the first morning to get croissants there he was. He lives there and sits outside the shop all day long. We petted him every time we passed.
His name is Eros, give him a pet from us.
You can see him if you google 214 Rue Saint-Martin
We LOVED the apartment and if we come back to Paris will certainly stay there again. It was not only clean and exactly as it was in the pictures, it was even better. Hannah was so helpful and nice and checked in to make sure we were doing alright. Truly a wonderful experience and made our trip all the more special.
Stayed here for four nights during our visit to France and Switzerland last month. The apartment is very centrally located and is just a ten minute walk from the metro. Some excellent cafes and bars are even closer. The apartment itself is extremely comfortable and very well provisioned. The place apparently used to be an Inn over a century ago, and the passage where it's located is amongst the oldest in Paris. This was the closest thing to home on our three week trip, and all of us are very keen to return.
Renting through Cobblestone could not have been easier. David and Hannah were wonderful! The apartment itself is well appointed and in an excellent location. I thought it was very French and I loved the décor and all of the amenities. Washer and Dryer a total bonus! The metro is about a block away, a nice bar is right next door and the bakery just a half block walk away is very nice with an excellent selection. The owners and workers of the bakery were very kind and patient since we spoke little to no French. We use the airport transfer service listed on Cobblestone's website. They were very punctual and courteous, in my opinion spend the extra money to have this set up, it is so worth it. They literally drop you off and pick you up at your doorstop. There are so many great restaurants nearby and the Marais is a very nice neighborhood to settle in for however long you are staying. Because it is a mostly Jewish neighborhood, some restaurants and most shops close on Saturday but the beauty of that is shop there on Sunday when most of the rest of the city is closed. I also loved the little passageway felt really special! When I come back to France, I will stay here! (the free river cruise and the bottle of wine was a nice touch)
