We stayed in Carina Hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is very accommodating and very comfortable. It has lovely decorations and is very clean. The rooms aren't particularly large, but for the price it was perfect, and we didn't spend much time in the hotel anyway. It is about 15 minutes walk from an underground stop, which can be quite hard to find for the first time. However, we felt it was nice to wander the streets of Paris. It is an easy walk to the Eiffel tower which is stunning at night time with the light displays every hour. The breakfast at the hotel is minimal, but the room is beautifully decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are a few restaurants and cafes a few minutes from the hotel. If you would like a drink in the late evening choose one of the cafes, as there are not many bars or pubs in Paris.

All sights are easily accessible from the closest underground train stop, which is not very expensive. And there is always a French musician on each train.

One tip when visiting Paris: If you have a European form of identification you can get discount or free entry to many of the sights, including Notre Dame.

Must sees are: Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Arc De Triomphe. We recommend the walk from the Arch De Triomphe, down the Champs Elysee to the Louvre. No matter where you walk you will find some amazing restaurants.

Immediately upon arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful. They had free English maps available that were very helpful to use when getting around. Hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and the neighborhood felt safe. There is a creperie, a bar, a pizza restaurant and a small grocery store all within a 1 block radius. The rooms were clean and cleaned daily.

No ac in rooms, staff not overly friendly or helpful. Is in a good location for access to tower and metro, rooms a bit dated and no mini fridge to keep your drinks cold in summer. Free wifi worked well. Did not eat breakfast but it looked ok.

Me and my fiancé stayed in this hotel for 4 days on june 22nd 2012. We booked this hotel as it was one of the cheapest and we was not looking for anything fantastic as most of the time we would be out seeing paris, we didn't expect much but was plesently suprised, the room was clean and tidy, free safe, free wifi, free access to computer, and tv in the room with 20+ channels.
Constant hot water, clean bathroom with hair dryer (not a good one) but still good to have.
The hotel is walking distance to the metro and also walking distance to the eiffel tower, do not listen to the bad reviews saying it is not walking distance, roughly 15 mins nice relaxed walk, no hills etc etc. supermarket next door selling everything you need also.

Only bad points for us was we ended up with 2 single beds pushed together but we managed, breakfast area very small and close together tables, no tea coffee in the room, reception staff a little ignorant at times but ok.

well worth the money and would return, if your looking for pure luxury not the hotel for you but for a short weekend or even a week will be fine for anyone as your not going to paris to stay in the room.

one more thing we didn't like, ironing board always not available, ended up ironing on a towel on the floor!

Room Tip: make sure you double check you have double bed, and if bothered specify you want a eiffel tower view.
