“magical”

Went back here a couple of times to soak in the beauty. As you enter there are two huge and dramatic Delacroix paintings that are breathtaking. I found such peace here I found myself just sitting and enjoying

“A Grand Church”
Reviewed 8 September 2013

This huge church in the Saint-Germain neighborhood is worth a visit if you like religious buildings or want to see a church besides Notre-Dame. The organ at the rear of the church is huge and fabulous, and the rest of the interior is appropriately grand. This isn't the most richly ornamented church, but it is bright and pretty inside.

“Beautifull fountain just in front”
Reviewed 4 September 2013

Very beautifull church, plus I loved the fountain just in front. We went inside the church but it was so peacefull and we felt we were disturbing people praying so we got out. But it's beautifull.

“Interesting Old Cathedral”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

Often forgotten but huge ad also a little gloomy unlike Notre Damme and Sacre Coer. Maybe its what it was like for most people before.

“A wonderful contrast if not quite Notre Dame”
Reviewed 25 August 2013

Stopped at this very significant cathedral (second to Notre Dame) as part of the Blue Bike Tour - Hidden Paris and was pleasantly surprised by the information provided by our local guide on the structure that has never quite been completed and only partially restored due to funding. Of particular interest is the brass meridian line on the internal floor of the church for the winter/summery solstices with plate and obilisque that is referenced in Dan Brown's novel, D'Vinci Code. Free entry and worth a visit if you have available time.
