“Perfect location, friendly staff, average rooms”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

We were a group of 4. We took 2 double bedrooms for 3 nights.
The service is very good.. the rooms were cleaned daily and towels changed, basic toiletries were provided.
The location is very good... just a couple of minutes walking from Jaures Metro station and about 15 minutes from Gare du nord. Therer are a good number of eateries and coffee shops around. Also, very close by to most attractions. It was also very easy to reach the hotel from the airport.
The rooms were very average. We had two rooms, one opposite to the lift and one beside the lift on the 2nd floor. It was pretty quiet.
The room opposite to the lift was very small and had a small bathroom. It had a big window alongside the bed and the curtain was a little torn.
The room beside the lift was a little bigger as compared to the other one. The bathroom was big and nice with a bath tub.
The breakfast was decent - Coffee or tea or hot chocolade and a glass of orange juice. 1 Croissant, 1 Chocolate bread and 1 pistolet bread. We expected a buffet breakfast for the amount we paid. Not very disappointed though.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a daily dose of questions including how to go/directions and they happily clarified them all. All maps are available in the hotel.
To sum it all, a nice place to go to if location matters more.

Room Tip: Rooms in the side of the lift are better and bigger than the rooms opposite to the lift.

The hotel has a great location, right next to two metro exits, and 15 min walk from gare du nord, MacDonalds and Pizza Hut a bunch of other fast food and relatively cheap places to eat at a 5 min walking. The rooms are not spectacular (whenever the guy in the room on top of us flushed the toilet we woke up from the noise), but the staff is really nice and welcoming.

I stayed here in January this year and overall i'm happy with what i got. it is in a really good location as the metro station is less than 5 mins from the hotel and a 10-15 min walk from Gare Du Nord. The room was a little dated but cleaned throughly every day. My only complaint is the bed that i had, it was really and uncomfortable to sleep on. Overall i would recommend this hotel for people on a budget :)

This Hotel is right off of the canal, close to the metro, and great food. The hotel is very small and the room is small, but serviceable and clean. All of the staff spoke english It is a short Metro ride from all the good sites, though you will probably have to make one change. Even thoughn Our room was on the street the double pane glass kept the street noise very muted, almost non edistant.

Room Tip: You must be OK wth small spaces. If you are just looking for a place to crash, it is a good bang for...

The location was good right near to Jaures metro station (which has 3 metro lines) and the staff were very friendly. The staff were very happy to give restaurant recommendations and information on getting around Paris. it is not a 5 star hotel, but it is good value for the money we paid.

The bathroom was a bit small, but i suppose that is what you get for a budget hotel in the centre of Paris.

Would stay in this hotel again if I get the opportunity to go back to Paris.

We came across this hotel whilst trying to find somewhere cheap to stay over the New Year period in Paris - not an easy task! Our main requirements were clean, comfortable and well located, and this hotel did not disappoint on any of those fronts.
As we were arriving in Paris on the Eurostar we wanted somewhere close to Gare du Nord. You can take metro line 2 from Gare du Nord to Jaures metro stop which is only a short walk from the hotel, however we walked the whole way as we didn't fancy dragging our bags around on the metro and it only took 15 minutes.
The room and bathroom, whilst a little dated, were spotlessly clean and the towels were changed daily. On arrival our room did smell of cigarette smoke but we managed to get rid of the smell fairly quickly by leaving the window open. The room looked out onto a wall so not much of a view but this didn't bother us as we only planned to sleep there! The bathroom was tiny - more like a cupboard - but perfectly serviceable with a nice hot shower. However there is no hairdryer - ladies take note!
Couldn't fault the reception staff, they were all extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel offered breakfast for 7 euros but we didn't try it as there were several bakeries nearby to grab a bite to eat. Free wifi is available throughout, I could only connect in the lobby on my iPhone but my partner got a decent signal on his netbook in our room.
The only fault we could find with this place was the thin walls, we could hear everything from snoring to conversations to toilets flushing!!
Overall, this hotel was perfectly adequate for our needs. Don't set your expectations too high when paying such a good price for a hotel in an expensive city in Paris, and you won't be disappointed.
