Just returned to our hotel after one of the best meals we've had this year! As with one of the pervious reviewers, we stumbled upon this place on our walk back to our hotel after a tour at the Lovre. We had the duck confit, escargots, and the couscous poulet. Both main dishes were delicious and the portions were very generous. There was certainly no room for dessert. We're planning on a repeat visit before we leave Paris this weekend. Yes, it was that good! I'd skip the escargots next visit but already looking forward to another couscous dish.

Prices were very reasonable. Waiter spoke no english but was very friendly and helpful.

Highly recommended!

After a disaster at Lipp. We wanted a simple Middle Eastern food. We stumbled into L'Auberge which while on St. Germain is off the beaten track of the Latin Quarter. No significant ambiance. We asked the waiter to take us on an Algerian adventure. Our starter was a very thin pastry with a combination of egg and tuna. Amazing. Wife had Tagine Poulet (chicken). Kids had Couscous Poulet and i had Couscous Royal (chicken, sausage and lamb). All of the meals where excellent. Well seasoned and not too spicy. I have had middle eastern food before but this was special. No room for desert. Algerian waiter was very pleasant. Reasonable: 60 Euros for a family of 4. Would highly recommend.
