We booked this hotel because we wanted to be able to walk to all the sights and because of the reviews and the price. It was perfect! 100% satisifed! Before we booked, I called the hotel to make sure we could get a balcony and they reserved the suite L'Explorator. We loved the balcony, tiny but amazing views! Perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing before going on to dinner. There are many great dinner choices just blocks away. The staff was friendly 100% of the time and extremely helpful, booked a taxi for us to the airport for our last day and helped us. We know very little French and they spoke English. Room was beautiful, great shower, clean, modern, quiet, AIR CONDITIONED Ahhhh! Oh and we felt so safe! Love this place, thank you so much!!

Room Tip: if you want a balcony, Suite L'Explorator has a small but fabulous one with amazing views!!

Just finished 6-night stay at the lovely Le Pradey. Intimate hotel on quiet street, steps away from Louvre, fine restaurants, shopping. Quiet rooms, wonderful beds, nice amenities, friendly and helpful service. Bonus: perfect view of Tour de France's final stage from our balcony.

If you want to be next to most of the sites you will probably go to, this is a great choice. We literally walked miles as it was easy to hit the Museums, Notre Dame, and places like the Latin Quarter. You are literally less than a half mile from the Louvre and within striking distance of the Eiffel and Arch and Champs elysee.

The hotel is reasonably priced fir Paris, clean and staff is friendly. My room was upgraded so we ended up with a large room by Paris standards. Do have a meal at a local bistro up the street, Auberge St Roche. One of the most reasonable, friendly, and delicious.

We trained to and from Paris on our vacation and both train station were within 15 minutes of the stations.

Enjoy! Don't hesitate to stay here.

SMALLEST Hotel room I have ever stayed in. Very Expensive
Small elevator -- Walls are dirty
We had 2 50 pound rolling suitcases and 2 carryon cases
There were 5 (FIVE) steps to go Down Entering and Up on Leaving
The hall is very narrow
Temperature is controlled by room card First night air did not work
1 (ONE) Sheet on bed (Bottom) Heavy sheet type throw for top one. HOT
Lights are controlled by room card Card not in control box -- Nothing
But the front desk is very helpful
Summary: 2 Stays in 1 : First and Last
Note 1:We were charged in Euros + Transaction fee -- what was shown on Booking.com
Note 2: When we arrived home over a week later found a unarthorized charge on my bank card -- that took place the same Time (Date & Hrs. according to the bank) when we finalized our checking our bill. I keep my cards in a RFID Shielded Wallet. The only time they were out was when I checked out and given to the clerk checking us out. Not to say he did it BUT.----------------Just my thioughts. Cost me $100. + Transaction and bank fees. Charged to: 00975810 Agency Paris PL Paris 05
My advise be very careful

I will first say the location of this hotel is fantastic. I think it would be hard pressed to find a better location in Paris to do the main sights - you can walk to most and hop on the Metro station a few blocks away for the others.

The hotel is clean and staff is friendly. My room was small but I think this was more due to it being in the middle of Paris (reminded me of NYC hotels - in the big expensive cities, rooms are small). The hotel is also very quiet.

What prevents me from giving this hotel 5 stars is the following - I had a SMALL amount of laundry to do and threw some stuff in the bag. It was no more than 7 items, and nothing going to the dry cleaners. They apparently sent the laundry out and the bill came out to $60 (SIXTY DOLLARS). They blamed this on the service they used. The hotel should take responsibility for this part of the stay and not let its patrons get hosed by some laundry service. IT left me with a very bad taste in my mouth, to say the least.

My huband and I, together with our 9 month baby stayed here fOr three nights in mid June in a traditional room.

literally a five minute stroll to the Lourve, Le Pradey's location is unbeatable. We have stayed somewhere much further out during our previous visit to Paris, so this time I fully appreciate the convenience. It is truly wonderful to simply step out of hotel and immediately walk about some of the most beautiful parts of Paris. This is especially useful traveling with a baby as we'd be more tired, sleep deprived, tied down, etc.

The room was small, but not as small as it's made out to be. There was sufficient space for a cot - which the hotel provided free if charge, complete with very comfy duvet and pillow for baby! Bed was very large with hifh qualty linen. Bathroom was surprisingly spacious. The only minor detail was that while the windows were adequately sound proof, we could sometimes hear doors being slammed down the corridor.

One thing I found lacking was that there was no kettle in the room for basic tea or coffee. There were tea and coffee at the mezzanine level but its not quite the same as having it in the room. Also, I believe the hotel has since changed its policy - another reviewer noted he was charged for coffee but I had tea and the hotel did not charge for it. It's better to check with the hotel on this.

Staff were generally polite, friendly and helpful.

All in all, we enjoyed our stay here, making our visit to Paris more enjoyable and easy given its location. We would definitely consider returning next time we are back in the wonderful city.

Not cheap but a superb place to stay. I was a little concerned over some of the comments that I had read on Trip Advisor about the size of some of the Traditional rooms and I heard this concern reiterated by other guests several times during our stay .However forewarned is forearmed and prior to our visit I contacted the Hotel direct who, athough our original discounted booking was through Hotels.com, offered us a suite upgrade for a modest supplemental charge. This resulted in the overall rate working out at a more reasonable 50% of the normal room rack rate.
As far as the Hotel itself is concerned I can offer nothing other than superlatives and certainly justifies all the favourable comments made by previous reviewers. The location, between the Rue Rivoli and Rue St Honore is superb, being just 1 minute walk to the Tuillerie Gardens, 2 to the Louvre ,8 to Notre Dame with most other notable landmarks all within comfortable walking distance.Although ,being senior citizens ,we did not find it necessary to use taxis nor the Metro, despite Pyramides station being very close,so this resulted in substantial saving to offset the cost of the Hotel.
We did ask the Reception for a restaurant suggestion and one of their recommendations was L'Auberge St Roch which is just a very brief walk from the Hotel being in the same street. We dined there twice and would have done so again if our visit had been longer. The food is quite superb, the atmosphere is great , not expensive and frequented by many locals which gives the restaurant a splendid authentic feeling. Quite superb !

For our next Paris trip we will most certainly stay at Le Pradey and eat at L'Auberge.

Room Tip: We stayed in Geode. Second floor-very quiet.
