I stayed at this hotel this Bastille Day weekend, I had booked about 6 months ago and when I checked on Tripadvisor a couple of weeks ago I was worried.
To be honest, I dont really know what people were moaning about, yes it's not 5 star, it could do with a bit of love and attention but quite frankly for 55 euros a night what do people expect??
The staff were friendly, chatty, helpful and although its not in the best area it does have it's perks, (the creperie around the corner that makes Oreo crepes, the falafel restaurant on the corner, the proximity to both bus and metro stations to name but a few).I understand some people want the moon and the stars but having stayed in much more expensive hotels and stayed in a LOT of hostels this is a good place to stay.
Overall the only thing I would say is please dont take all the reviews as gospel, I think some perspective needs to be given and as I was there to experience a beautiful and amazing city the accomodation was perfectly reasonable and I would happily reccommend it to other like minded easy going travellers.More
