We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We stayed here for part of our honeymoon. We loved how trendy the room was and how clean it all was. It was the typical size for Parisian hotel room which isn't large so don't expect enormous spaces. The service was very nice, though you had to leave your key with the receptionist when you left because they don't have the new card keys many hotels have now. The only problem we had was we are light sleepers and due to there being no air conditioning in the room we had to leave the window open but the street noise was pretty disrupting. So we had to choose between being hot or being kept up by the street noise. If you are a light sleeper you might want to ask about rooms not facing the street or stay somewhere off the main roads. It had a very trendy look about it but not all the amenities of many new hotels. However, I believe in cooler months this would be a great place to stay.

It is at the edge of Montmartre and you do have to walk a little to get to the metro but its a nice walk past some bakeries. It's about a ten minute walk to the Jules-Joffrin station.

Room Tip: If you can book a room facing away from Rue Damremont I would highly suggest it. There is no a/c and the street traffic is very loud.

Dear Anne,

Thank you for the review. I was pleased to read that you were happy with both the service and cleanliness of the room. I would like to apologise for the level of noise and the inconvenience this caused to your visit. We are located in the Montmartre area so at peak times there is a lot of vibrant activity outside the hotel.

Thank you, once again for your balanced feedback.

Kindest regards
HL

We have just returned from this hotel And have stayed many times in this area. Firstly hotel was a little too 'tucked out of the way'. It was a good half an hour walk uphill to main Montmartre and it would have been fine for me but I was worried my poor mum would keel over :(
The area had some lovely little cafés (cafe Albert) and a few shops. We walked to the hotel from gare d'nord and it was around 20 mins with cases.
The hotel is small and very well presented. The staff on the whole were friendly and I was really impressed with what they had managed to do space wise in the room. The shower was gorgeous!
We were far too warm in the room and it prevented us from sleeping. We tried to prop the window but it was too noisy unfortunately.
I wouldn't bother with breakfast - we did once and the woman could not have been less interested in the questions we were asking.
Overall it was reasonable but I wouldn't stay again.

Dear reviewer,

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us at the Hotel Lumières.
I was pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you found the staff friendly

I am sorry you found it difficult to go at Sacre Coeur area, usually we suggest to go by metro or bus from Jules Joffrin station.

Thank you ,once again, for sharing your experience.

Went to Paris last weekend with my boyfriend and we stayed in the lumieres hotel. I think they the staff is friendly and helpful, you get a map of the city and metros right away, and if you have any questions they are happy to help. Our room was on the 5th floor. It looked nice and clean, not really spacious, but big enough. You only sleep there anyway :-). The shower is great, and the bed is really nice. I think it's a good hotel, if you are staying in Paris a few nights. It is in the 18 arrondissement, so you are close to Montmartre (20mins walk), with a lot of nice restaurants and a good sphere. The metrostation is like a 15min walk, so you can travel around to the central really easy. The neighborhood is safe, it's quiet. There's an ATM around the corner and little boulangeries (bakery's) as well, good to have cheap and good breakfast. Overall a good choice!

A small inexpensive but not "cheap" hotel. The rooms are compact modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is pleasant with a good choice.
This is not a luxury hotel but it is not in that price bracket.
A bit far from a Metro Station but not unacceptably so.
In an area where "real people" live so not jammed with tourists and the restaurants live on local repeat trade, so are better in terms of quality and price.
We would certainly stay here again

Good location and easy walking distance to many metro stations.
Overall the room was quiet: we couldn't hear anything from the street but we could hear people in the hallway quite easily but that wasn't very often.
Also the staff was very helpful, and they had a good layout for a small room (separate shower, sink and toilet, which is very convenient).
The room does not have AC which was a bit annoying as Paris gets very humid in July.
Also, they don't have a place to unpack so we were living out of suitcases the entire time.
Overall the room is worth 4 stars, but because we only paid €79 per night when we went.
