I stayed here for three nights in June 2013 in a standard room. The hotel location is very good it really is about 5 min from the Louvre and is 1 min from the Metro. Its in a quiet area with lots of good restaurants and bars. The staff are very friendly and the rooms clean and comfortable but very small. Ours was a standard double room which was accessed directly from the stairs so we did have some noise from other guests coming past. I would recommend booking a larger room especially if you have luggage for a longer trip. For a good selection of restaurants try out the
Square St Honore which is very close to the hotel.

Room Tip: Book a larger room and ask for one at the front of the hotel

I recently stayed here and initially I thought it was a nice little hotel however! The staff would enter the room without knocking whilst I was in the room, even with the do not disturb sign on. The staff and management were extremely rude and extra charges were put on my credit card without my approval. Warning, no privacy not worth the location and there are plenty of other fantastic little boutique hotels nearby. To add, the bathroom is so small that the toilet has been put in at an angle and the room is also tiny.

Dear Client,
How can you dare evaluate our hotel the way you did ! You indeed ask us not to enter or clean your room during your stay at the hotel Louvre Marsollier Opera though you were here for 9 days. This is what we first did until we realized that you were smoking in your non smoking room. When entering your room we could have never imagined what we found there. Of course, we found cigarette butts, but we also discovered that you were doing barbecue on the desk of the room! The minibar was filled with chicken and steaks ready to be grilled ! The desk and the carpet was filled with fat ejections ! The bed-spread had been burnt. You even used the kettle to boil eggs. Do you realize that you could have set fire to the whole hotel ! It is a shame that we cannot add pictures of your room to this comment !
Considering the damages you caused in the room, it appears to us that it is the normal thing that you participate to the mending of the room !
Best regards

This hotel is a good hotel with an excellent staff and in a perfect location! The room was very small but had a nice size bathroom and a large window that opened into an ally for fresh air. Our view was of a wall, but we didnt spend much time in the room so it did not matter. The bed was comfortable and that's all that mattered. The size of the room made it difficult with multiple bags, but we managed. The hotel offers breakfast for 13 euro but there are so many wonderful cafes and patisseries within a few blocks that were cheaper and better food so I recommend taking advantage of the neighborhood. The area felt very safe and we had no problem walking back from the metro late into the evening. The metro was about 1/2 a mile or about a 5 min walk from the hotel and it was very easy to get around. Paris is a beautiful city and this hotel was a perfect "home base" for our 4 days there. Good price for the value and area.

Room Tip: There is an elevator to the room levels but you have to climb a few steps to access it. The stairs...

We've been coming here for 12 years. The location is terrific - walking distance from Opera and Louvre. The side-street location makes it very quiet, at the expense of a view. The rooms are small but comfortable. The desk staff is terrific, and they serve a very nice breakfast.

I was looking for a decent hotel for 8 nights in Paris that didn't break the bank and I'm glad I found this. The receptionist that was usually there was very welcoming, the rooms were well kept, and I felt there was enough sound barrier to not be bothered by the baby next door. I was disappointed that there was no view (our window was next to a white wall) and the room and bathroom were quite small, but that's Paris for you. Good location for seeing the main attractions though it's somewhat hard to find because it's really tucked in there.

Small, but good value for Paris, especially in such a good location. Within walking distance of Indian, Asian and French restaurants, the Metro & major landmarks (Louvre, Opera, Tuileries, Vendome, etc.). Others have mentioned Alex at the desk, who was especially helpful and knowledgeable on just about everything.

We (my daughter and I) spent three nights at this hotel in the beginning of June. The location was very good: short walking distance to Opera and Louvre. The fact is that in Paris hotels are very expensive and quality is not very good or corresponding the price. But, what can you do since there are only very old buildings that have been renovated to hotels. At this hotel, the room size was fine and the double bed was huge and comfortable. We were accommodated on the top floor and we had actually no view from there. It was not nice since it feels that you are being trapped. But, we were not there to spend time at the hotel - so, actually it did not matter. I am just always worrying what would actually happen if there would be a fire.....how could we be saved. Staff at this hotel is very friendly (especially Alexandre) and they speak good English which is not always the case in Paris. I would stay at this hotel also in the future.
