A lovely little hotel in a useful location that's perfect for short stays. You can walk to lots of famous places within 20 minutes and there's a metro stop only 3-4 minutes away too. The staff are so friendly and helpful, really welcoming too. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

This is a lovely hotel away from the hustle and bustle but only a few minutes away to the main attractions by metro or if your feeling energetic you can walk to the Arc de Triomphe and onwards!
The rooms are clean, very comfortable and enough space for what you would need. You can move around with no problem! The bathrooms are lovely bright and modern. The staff on reception are very warm and very welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble!
Due to past experiences on city breaks I'm always a little dubious of breakfasts but I was pleasantly surprised! Pastries already on the tables. Bread, cheese and meats available along with Tea, coffee and juices. A lovely start to the busy day!
I'm so glad I chose this hotel and will definitely return. Great price too!

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your nice review about your recent stay with us. We read with great pleasure your compliments and we are thrilled to hear that you had a nice stay with us in Paris.
Breakfast is indeed very important to start the day and we try to change the menu from time to time , but aways provide fresh and local goods to fulfill all mornings appetites.

This small hotel was in an area "off the beaten path", yet a 5 minute walk to 2 different metro stops. The rooms are small, but clean and adequate. The bathrooms are up to date and immaculately maintained. Very nice breakfast buffet. All in all, this is a charming little hotel in a wonderful neighborhood away from the "touristy" area of Paris. There are lots of little restaurants and cafes. We found the people in this neighborhood delightful and very friendly; and this has left us with wonderful memories of a wonderful time in Paris. Should we return to Paris, we will definitely want to stay at the Hotel de' Theatre again.

Dear guest,
Thank you for your nice review about your recent stay at the hotel du Theatre. We are extremely pleased to see that you enjoyed the hotel and the breakfast as we thrive on providing the best experience for our guests.
We are blessed to be nested in a charming part of the 17th area of Paris, a little "off the beaten path" from the core of Paris as you said but very close to the Champs Elysées and Montmartre. We will be delighted to share with you more of our favorite places and restaurants, and make sure you stop by the amazing Levis market next door, next time you come.
We are looking forward to welcoming you again soon.
Sincerely,

First, the good...the young man at the front desk was a pleasure to deal with. He was much more pleasant than the other guy and I wish he'd have been there all day every day during my stay. The breakfast was free with my booking online, plentiful and the coffee good! The location is excellent--near Parc Monceau, close to 2 Metro stops, and easy walking distance from many, many sites. Beds? Very comfortable. Rooms? Clean--a 9 out of 10, in my estimation.
And the not as good...the rooms are very small and rather dated in terms of old, traditional looking furniture and iffy carpet. There is only a cupboard in the room, with hanging space (and a safe). They've re-done the bathrooms and they are nice and fresh, and clean! They service the room every day, but don't replace bathroom items or the disposable plastic cups (unless maybe you've actually finished the soap or shampoo or broken a cup). This is actually a reasonable way to keep costs down, to be honest, and didn't bother me, but it didn't escape my attention either. The towels sometimes seemed a bit older, stained, and hard, but, remember, this isn't a 4-star hotel...and the price was great about 115 Euros a night. The lobby is small and not a particularly appealing place to hang out, but it's Paris--go out and do something!

If you have to pay more than 130 Euros, I'd say it's getting pricey.

All in all, it didn't feel plush, but I'd stay there again given the location, the cleanliness, and the price.

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your nice review about your recent stay at the hotel du Theatre. We are extremely pleased to see that you enjoyed the design and the breakfast as we thrive on providing the best experience for our guests. Thank you for noticing the brand new bathrooms, and we are refreshing some of the rooms as well to offer our guest the best experience, in a traditional Parisian hotel.

About the size of your room, the hotel is indeed nested in an authentic renovated Haussmann building, and the rooms are set in an old fashion way. It seems that you were in one of our small rooms as we are proud to offer decent sized rooms for French standards. We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you in the future and we will be delighted to show you the other rooms.

Sincerely,
Bernard Garnier

We have just returned from 5 nights at the Hotel du Theatre. I booked this hotel for ourselves, as well as family flying in from the UK, so was a little anxious that it would meet all our needs. I needn't have worried as we were all very happy with this lovely little hotel, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets. The room, although smallish, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, although tea and coffee making facilities would have enhanced our enjoyment - although we do recognise that European hotels are not like UK hotels in this regard and there was complimentary coffee in reception so we didn't go without. The room was clean, as was the bathroom, and fresh towels were provided daily. We ate out each night in different restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel recommended Cosy Corner and Bistrot de Vignes and we can confirm that both were excellent - as was the local basque bar on the main street. The hotel is ideally situated between two metro stations enabling us to easily and quickly get around Paris and see its beautiful sites. We experienced the hotel's breakfast at the end of the stay (we never normally have breakfast) and wish we had ventured into the breakfast room earlier as the selection of items was excellent. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Paris and will have breakfast daily! The staff on reception couldn't do enough for us - all were extremely pleasant, helpful and polite and all spoke English for those who don't speak French.

The room looked like it was falling apart. The walls were cracked, the tiles were coming off in the bathroom, paint was peeling on ceiling of bathroom and mold was forming. The carpet was dirty that my child's feet became dark when walking on it barefoot. The blankets were itchy and the neighborhood was ok but not great. On the good side, the staff was nice and helpful, the room was quiet and the room was properly serviced, and it did have a window- which was good because the room was stuffy at night. I know that hotels in Paris are expensive, but for the price, I just do not feel it gave me my money's worth.

Dear Sir and Madam,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay wit us. We are sorry to hear that we did not completely meet your expectations.
I truly apologize about the bathroom that is indeed one of the very last, that is about to get renovated in the following weeks. It is not in such a bad shape as is, but I wish I had known that it bothered you that much, and we would have tried to accommodate you in another room.

We also have bigger rooms for families and I remember that you did not wish to upgrade or add an extra bed for your son. It might have felt less “stuffy” as you said. Unfortunately a double room in Parisian standards is really meant for two and is not as large as in the US.

We feel very sad that the whole experience tainted your stay even if you enjoyed the quietness and service in the room. We hope that you will give the hotel a second chance and enjoy your stay to the fullest in a new room.
Sincerely.

Just returned from Paris having spent four nights at this hotel, which I found through trip advisor. It's a quirky little gem tucked down a side street between Rome and Villiers Metro station. The room was spacious enough (bearing in mind we were only there to sleep and clean ourselves up!) and was very clean, as was the bathroom.

Our room was at the front of the hotel but we had no trouble with noise from the street below.

The staff are kind and friendly, and the hotel itself is in a great location to access the main tourist attractions. We had the breakfast one morning only - there was a good selection for such a small dining area and the pastries, bread and juice were all fresh. There are plenty of foodie places in the surrounding streets which are also worth trying.

All in all, a gorgeous little hotel that was great value. We'd love to go back.
