Sure, it's expensive (although there's expensive, like this, and REALLY expensive, not that far away), but the room we had (111) was a decent size, especially for Paris, with a nice bathroom. And with a location like this, who's complaining? Our room had a balcony, which was tiny but allowed you to step out and take in the view (see photo) from the Louvre one way, to the Tuileries gardens opposite, as far as the Eiffel Tower in the distance. It was gorgeous. And the road may be busy, but the soundproofing was amazing. Very clean hotel, very nice service, decent breakfast too. If you're "doing the galleries", this is the location to be in. It's 5 minutes walk to the Louvre, 10 minutes across the park to the Orangerie, and 10 minutes across the park and river to the Musee d'Orsay. And a lovely walk too.
