“Another visit even better for renovation”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

This was our third visit and we found the hotel's renovation very tasteful and attractive. It is quite expensive, in a great part of Paris, quiet yet close to many sights and with lots of good restaurants nearby. A comfortable room with lovely views, friendly helpful staff. The only negative comments would be that there are no handles to support entry and exit from the bath and that the breakfast, though good, has moved away from the excellent buffet.

Room Tip: Higher floors are best

Well, value is relative, considering it's Paris. This is nice little hotel that was recently renovated. The location is fantastic. The staff is very helpful and steered us to several very good neighborhood restaurants. The room was good size for Paris and was at a reasonable price. The decor is somewhat funky, but who cares. Pretty quiet at night. I definitely recommend.

Spend 5 nights at this property this May. Secured a promo rate online. Great location on the left bank on place du Pantheon. Less than a 10 minute walk from the RER B line station so easy in and out of CDG. Also, 5 minute walk to nearby Metro (line 10). Notre Dame about a 20 minute walk; Louvre and Musee D’Orsay about a 30 minute walk.

Small, boutique like hotel. Room was small (to be expected in Paris) but extremely clean with unique "velvety" décor and included slippers, robes, safe, minibar with fridge, lovely toiletries, heated towel rack, free Wi-Fi for multiple devices, etc. Quiet area at night.

Rate did not include breakfast so cannot comment. Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about city. All spoke English.

If looking for a smaller and more intimate property instead of a larger “chain” hotel in Paris, the Hotel du Pantheon is perfect.

We stayed 3 nights recently. Great spot to walk to many sights and easy access to the train.
Rooms are small but greatly redone. Excellent shower. Small toilet room.
Staff was excellent in helping with reservations, directions etc.

. . . a phrase we heard often from the hotel staff during our 10 day stay in May 2014. So we shall return the favor - they invited us to share our experience on Tripadvisor at checkout.

We were very pleased with all aspects of this lovely hotel. The location - in the shadow of the Pantheon in the heart of the Latin Quarter and steps from the jardin du Luxembourg suited us perfectly. Our room on the 5th floor had a balcony that had a fabulous view of the Place du Pantheon. We sat outside in the evening enjoying a glass of champagne and watching the school kids kick a soccer ball as groups of all ages, shapes, and nationalities gathered to pass the time. At night - we enjoyed a view of the basilique du sacre coeur lit on the horizon. Saturday morning - we watched three consecutive wedding parties gather at the mayor's office for confetti-throwing and photos.

The room, though small - was very well appointed. The bathroom was immaculate with a good working shower, and large and luxurious soaking tub. The decor is eclectic for sure and created with a design eye that we found refreshing and interesting - not your typical cookie-cutter hotel decor. It has been inspired by the "Grandes Dames" of France and the staff can explain the inspiration for each floor.

We did not take advantage of the breakfast - there are so many places within a short walk to grab a coffee and croissant or brioche - just had room service coffee which always arrived promptly and with a smile.

The lobby and breakfast rooms are not grand - but are enough for a small meal or an evening drink.

Indeed the whole hotel is on a small scale - including the elevator. With the exception of transporting our baggage, we chose to take the circular stairs - in a desperate attempt to ward off the ill effects of our indulgence on cheese, wine, bread and French cuisine. No need for a gym. We also ran with the pompiers around the perimeter of the jardin du Luxembourg in the am.

I have to say though that the best part of our stay was the hotel staff - all of them. From the ladies and gentlemen at the front desk to the kitchen staff - they were professional, pleasant and resourceful without being intrusive. They all spoke English well, yet patiently spoke French to us in our effort to practice. They were quick to offer us assistance in getting around town, calling taxis, finding restaurants or booking tickets if we needed them and had a hand at the ready with luggage or an umbrella.

We can say - with pleasure - that we highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Paris.

Couldn't have wanted a better hotel. The service was exceptional- friendly, great advice, good recommendations. The room was beautiful. Great decor and amenities. Fabulous quiet location but a street away from the action of the Latin quarter. Perfect stay. We will return.
