“A must see in the Marais”
Reviewed 23 May 2014

We spent 12 days in the Marais and often went to Marche des Enfants Rouge, a fantastic experience to see local fresh food, cafes and eating there was great. Staff have english and asked how we wanted our hamburger steak cooked! Not used to this at home, mine rare, yum, melted in your mouth. Range of foods wide and happy, chatty waiters and chefs make the experience even better. Just to wander and look at range of foods and flowers was a way to soak up the daily life of the Parisian. You must go if in the area.

“Delicious Ethnic foods!”
Reviewed 20 May 2014

If you're a foodie who enjoys good food and excellent company, you'll enjoy this place. Nestling at the heart of the bohemian Rue de Bretagne, this street market is actually a great spot to sit and have lunch in. Lots of ethnic food vendors - my favourite is the Middle Eastern stall which serves delicious salads and mezzes which you can wash down with hot minty tea. Happy ambience with lots of chilled out, "creative" 30 somethings, and couples with small children on tricycles - a nice and inexpensive place for a lazy brunch.

“Not a real market but nice place to have lunch”
Reviewed 17 May 2014

IT is not a place where "real people" go for grocery because there are so many shops on rue de Bretagne, but that is a very nice place to visit, go around and have a street food like lunch on benches all around the market. Lebanese, French, Thai or Moroccan , there is everything.

“Great Cafe!”
Reviewed 3 May 2014

A friend who worked in paris for 10 years highly recommended this restaurant http://www.les-enfants-rouges.com/

We stopped in for lunch yesterday -- absolutely excellent food - lots of activity to observe walking by as we sipped wine.

“great Moroccan food”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

We went there in a cold, rainy morning and had a great morrocan breakfast and hot mint tea. It’s the oldest food market in paris, so definitely a must-go for foodists!! It’s nothing like la boqueria, though. Less crowd, and a bit gloomier but still very lovely.
