This hotel is little and quirky - for me this is what made it great. Decorated in the Napoleonic way, around every corner was something quirky/super, i.e. velvet Nolpoleonic chairs everywhere, multicoloured chandeliers, room was great, with old fashioned furnishings. Staff was good - i.e. some fabulous, some mediocre, changed daily. Small garden outside for smokers, lit & heated at night. Sitting room with computer access (free) Breakfast was fantastic, so different, so good. Can only recommend highly. ALSO, a plus is that there is a bar/restaurant, Le Source, next door, which is very friendly to overseas visitors.

Booked 2 rooms in hotel for 3 nights. When we arrived, we noticed that the rooms were not well maintained. Cracks in the wall, blood stains in inside of comforter. Bedspread was filthy. Curtains were filthy. Curtains were falling off the wall in our son's room.
We decided we could not stay. We lost 1 night for each room, almost 600 euros and went to the Hilton. Well worth forfeiting 600 to not have to stay!

Dear Sirs,

First of all, I am terribly disappointed with your critics. Our goal always to make the stay of our guests as much pleasant as possible! We take your remarks into consideration and we would like to clarify somes critics, we fixed the curtain in your son's room in the five minutes after you arrival. It was a stain inside of conforter, you are right, but it was not blood, even if the conforter was clean somes stains leaves marks. Our hotel is well maintained, we do our best for that. We tried to find a solultion at yor arrival but you decide to leave and we respected your decision.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. As it was part of our honeymoon they even provided us with a bottle of champagne.
The hammam (steam room) was a really nice touch. You can book in for a half hour slot which is perfect after a day on your feet! Oils and loofahs are provided.
The breakfast is delicious and there is plenty of it so definitely worth booking this as it is good value for money.
The room was spacious for a capital city hotel we were lucky enough to have a view of the Hotel Invalides. The shower a bit temperamental but good water pressure and a bath too! The air conditioning was very welcome as it was a hot weekend and it worked very effectively. There are lots of eateries nearby and we can recommend the creperie just down from the hotel.

Things to Do
The Eiffel tower is nearby as is the Hotel Invalides and the Champs Elysee. We recommend the Green Open Tour sightseeing bus. A two day ticket cost €32 per person, but there are four different routes and over 50 stops. It is a good way to see Paris!
There are lots of eating places nearby, but definitely suggest you get some recommendations on places to eat prior to your visit. The hotel can make reservations for you.
The Louvre is great, but a nightmare with people traffic, suggest going at lunchtime to avoid excessive queues!
Eiffel Tower, if you plan to go in the evening, you need to take the lift from the ground as the booth was not open when we got to the second level so we were unable to purchase a ticket to the top!

Room Tip: there are only 17 rooms, but opt for one on the front of the hotel, it is bit nosier if you want the...

We stayed here this past weekend and had a wonderful experience overall. We went in expecting very small rooms, however we were surprised with how large the Deluxe room actually was. It had everything we needed and plenty of space. I did not see any of the other rooms to compare it in size (based on what other reviewers had to say on this). The hotel was very clean, and the staff very friendly and helpful. They assisted us with dinner reservations, best routes to travel in the city and also kept our luggage on our last day after check out as we had a full day of sightseeing before our flight that night. The bathroom was nice, and the slippers and robes were a special touch as well as the turn down service each day. The location was perfect! Within sight of the Eiffel Tower (approx 20 min walk). The nearby restaurants were also nice. The metro is across the street from the hotel which was convenient. We were in room 11 which is on the 1st floor directly across from the metro and it did not bother us one bit. I would highly recommend.

Room Tip: We had Deluxe room 11, very spacious!

A fantastic location is what you need for a brief stay in Paris, and this hotel could not be any better situated. Everything you might want to see is in walking distance, and there is a metro across the road if your legs get tired. You will have to trade off location for size, so be in no two minds about this.

Inside, the hotel is quirky and original, a far cry from bland professionalism and predictability of chain hotels, but not short of a good standard. The rooms are very small, and would try even the closest couple if you were staying longer than a couple of nights, but this should be balanced by their originality in design, and the atmosphere of the place. Did I mention the location yet?

The staff were polite and helpful, the breakfast suitably consistent with the ambience, and the wifi worked unfailingly. For a short stay, I would strongly recommend, but not if you prefer corporate places.

The staff were lovely and helpful. The entrance, staircase and exterior delightful. The room was smaller than expected and I was expecting small. The room décor was very tired. The opulent image portrayed on the website is a little over the top as is the price for the room given it really does need sprucing up.
Location was excellent for hopping onto the metro. The station was literally across a small road, but you could hear the rumblings of the train from our bedroom. The area is lovely and within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower etc, however, I'm not sure I'd agree the hotel was in the most central location for connecting metro stations or walking if you are a tourist wanting to see as much as you can over 3 days as we were.
I don't want to sound too harsh. Overall, the stay at the hotel was enjoyable, friendly and there were some nice touches, but the hotel is pretty average for the cost and slightly disappointing through no fault other than it needs to be priced more realistically or the rooms redecorating.
