Firstly, the staff were absolutely fantastic; so friendly, spoke good English and could not have been more helpful. When we wanted to find a specific cafe they took the time to Google the location and then print out maps for us and then tell us what metro lines to take. The room was really well decorated, clean and tidy. Although there was not a great view, as it was a back street hotel I doubt there was much choice! The room was bright and welcoming; very warm with a good shower and bathroom. Comfortable bed and clean sheets. Tea and coffee were provided also. We did not have the breakfast buffet so cannot comment on that. The hotel was very smart without being over the top-the Christmas decorations were very tasteful. The location is fantastic; you are two roads away from the Musee D'orsay and on the door step of some lovely restaurants, as well as the Seine. Would definitely come back here.

Room Tip: Don't expect a 'room with a view' as there is no such thing, but the interior ought to m...

We really enjoyed our stay, thank you Hotel d'Orsay. I know Paris fairly well however this was our first time staying left bank. The hotel is superbly located and the reception staff are polite, attentive and certainly very helpful. Easy access to the metro too (a few lines run through this station). I would certainly stay here again and recommend it to friends. I'm not sure why but our room was upgraded on arrival which was a happy surprise. Also, we were far too early to check in so the hotel stored our luggage and offered us facilities on the ground floor to freshen up before setting out for the day. The design of the hotel is really lovely and the boutique feel of the hotel is evident. It is a very nice hotel indeed.

We chose this hotel for a family trip to Paris because they have a reasonably-priced suite on the top floor that sleeps four (a rarity in Paris). We could not have been more pleased. The main bedroom with a king-sized bed was large even by US standards, and there is a smaller bedroom with two single beds for the kids. This hotel is a little off the beaten path (there are not many other hotels nearby), but the location is very convenient. Within a block there is a footbridge across the Seine to the Tuileries, and there are metro and RER stops within two blocks. There are also lively commercial streets with restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance and, of course, the Musee D'Orsay is right there. The staff at the front desk were always friendly and helpful. All in all, everyone in the family was pleased with this hotel and we will definitely stay here again on a future visit!

Room Tip: The suite on the top floor is a great option for four-person families.

As I write this, it's hard to believe - and saddening, too - that we checked into Hotel d'Orsay almost a week ago! We had such a great time there.

The rooms are lovely & ample. The staff is friendly & charming.

We stayed there years ago, before two hotels merged into the one that's there now. The location is ideal & the people are perfect!

Room Tip: We've always stayed in rooms that overlook Rue de Lille. I don't know what the back rooms l...

We had a room on the top floor; good size and unique shape - very picturesque. The top floor had the bonus of having to take the narrow stairs for one floor and that added character (they brought the bags up). Close to museums and walkable to places like the tower. Friendly staff who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Don't miss the old elevator cage near the breakfast room - it gives a hint of what this was like years ago.

We've been coming to this property since it was a hotel and pensione in adjacent buildings years ago. The current configuration makes it a very sensible choice because of the central location, pleasant staff and above-average rooms. There's not a great deal of street noise despite the fact it's in a busy district and the breakfasts are quite fine. Easy walks to Rue Cler, St. Germain des Pres, the Louvre and Tuileries. Of course, the Musee d'Orsay is maybe 100 yards away. Two handy subway stations (Orsay and Solferino) in the neighborhood serve different lines and make it easy to explore the entire city plan.

This charming hotel on the left bank was perfect for me for the following reasons - location the best and the staff gracious and helpful at all times. All this was doubly important to me, an American female traveling alone. Will I return? Yes in 2 years I'll be coming to France again and will stay here. After attending a wedding in England where the food is not edible, I took the Eurostar to Paris and ate like a queen. Paris having my Southern California weather while I was there was a real bonus. The hotel was going through some renovations but the staff handled it beautifully and no one missed a beat, as we say here in America. I'll be back!

Room Tip: My room was on the 5th floor looking out the back of the hotel. I enjoyed the quiet, morning sun an...
