Hotel Saint-Louis Marais

We stayed here for four nights on our recent trip to Paris and found the accommodations to be very comfortable and a good value. The hotel is in an excellent location near three metro stops and the wonderful Marais district. The room was typically small for a big city hotel but was very well appointed. The bathroom, in particular, was very nicely done with a huge shower and excellent lighting. There was also a large amount of closet space in our room, especially for a small room. We did not try their breakfast, preferring to get fresh fruit from the vendor just down the street and baked goods from one of the local boulangeries. My only (small) complaints were that I could not get ice (used restaurant down the street instead) and the night staff was not very helpful. The daytime staff was great, however. We will probably stay there again next time I am in Paris.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the tail end of our 17 day European vacation. We stayed in the annex which was located near the hotel. The room was very large and the bathroom had a fabulous shower with water so hot that it could have literally burned us. It was by far the best shower on our trip. Staying in this room was basically like staying in an apartment without the kitchen as we had our own keys and didn't have to go through the main hotel very often. It's a very small boutique hotel and we really enjoyed the Marais area of Paris. It was located convenient to the subway stop and we would definitely stay here again. I would suggest adding one more outlet to the bathroom as there were no outlets conveniently located to the mirror upstairs in the room. The only other thing was we noticed some stains on the bed quilts. I should have asked for new ones but didn't bother. For $300 a night, I thought that the quilts shouldn't have stains on them. We did a lot of research on hotels prior to booking here and overall this hotel was great.

Room Tip: Stay in the Annex if you can.

Thank you so much for making our stay in Paris delightful! The hotel was wonderful, quaint, spotlessly clean, beautiful rooms and bathrooms. The location was so convenient and we loved the little neighborhood patisserie and café across the street, giving the stay a personal feel. The staff at Hotel St. Louis Marais were very helpful, attentive and pleasant! Will certainly recommend to all coming to Paris and hope to return soon. Loved it!

Small but charming room with a great bathroom and a great shower. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again. We booked the hotel shuttle from the airport -- equal to or less than a cab and it worked out perfectly for us - a real convenience.

Best regards, Vincent and Miyuki from New York City

We needed a hotel with a room with two double beds which is not easy to find in Paris. Searched through Bookings.com and checked reviews on TA. Everything was spot on. Great location; edge of the Marais district (4th Arr.) - Sully Metro a block away; Notre Dame a fifteen minute walk through beautiful Ile St. Louis. Clean rooms; good sized-even ducking under the eaves in the attic. (Elevator only goes to 3rd floor; sixteen winding stairs to top floor rooms - be aware.) Friendly, helpful staff. Several good restaurants within three blocks (see reviews for Le Temps des Cerises, Le Place Royale and Le Dindon en Laisse). Did not eat breakfast in the hotel, can do just as well for half the price at any brasserie nearby. Would definitely stay here on my next trip, and the one after that, and after that.....

Excellent boutique hotel perfectly located in a side street in Marai ensures both a good nights sleep and central location. Metro is very close, just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. We had a superb double room, that was newly renovated with a high standard. Good value for money compared to the alternatives in Paris.

Major drawback is that the emergency exit was blocked with travellers luggage most of the time. This should be sortet out by management at the hotel.

Stayed here for 6 nights and it couldn't have been a better experience. We stayed in room 420 at the very top and it was charming. The room was always clean and felt spacious for a Parisian hotel, the bathroom in particular was spacious and beautifully done. The decor is tasteful and charming with a nice mix of the old architectural elements and the new sconces and fixtures. The beds were quite comfy and the street outside was miraculously quiet at night.
The staff was incredibly helpful and sweet to us, especially Farah and Sylvain, who bore our horrible french with patience and good humor. Their suggestions for dining places were spot on, and they greeted us every day with a cheerful Bon Jour! This trip was a birthday gift for my mother and they really helped to make it special.
The location of the hotel is really great too. Just up the street from the Sully Morland metro stop and right down the street from the beautiful Place Des Voges, in a beautifully atmospheric street by the Marais. There are several fantastic restaurants, and bars near by (specifically the Temps de Cerises on the rue de petite musc, and Le Dindon en Laisse on rue beautreillis) and the Bastille is within walking distance as well.
They serve breakfast at the hotel but we didn't eat there as we were happy to grab a croissant at the Boulanger and start our day.
This is the best hotel I've stayed at in Paris including several in the same neighborhood, and I am anxious to return.

Room Tip: Room 420 is at the top of the hotel and one flight of stairs above the floor where the elevator stop...
