i am an experienced world traveler of mature years, picky on hotels (but not overly so), who does much advance research on my travels, including the accommodations, and therefore is rarely really disappointed in them.
this was a last minute choice for an unexpected need for a paris hotel for one night on the way to the apartment of a friend.
i read the reviews of the sunny before and AFTER i stayed there. and i must say, these people were awfully hard on the little sunny hotel !! i mean, this is paris, famous for awful hotels (dirty with rude greedy managers, loud and depressing), and overpriced hotels. the sunny is none of these. it evidently doesnt satisfy the folks who want high style in paris for low prices (!!) but i liked it just fine.
good location in an upscale respecable quiet neighborhood - a bit of a hike form the mero and bus but not too bad.
no breakfst included, but one offered to buy, and near enough to the les gobelins giant bistro by the metro.
very friendly accomodating staff (in paris !!).
bathroom was nice
nice clean room - mine on a courtyard which was quiet - though i think if there had been even slightly loud people in any of the adjoining rooms i would have heard them.
decor ok. a good feeling. i was glad to stay here and would stay here again.More
