Initially I was a bit nervous about our reservation at this hotel. I chose it for the location on the Left Bank which was walking distance to our two main destinations for our short 3 day stay in Paris. In the past we had stayed at the Hotel D'Aubusson which was significantly more expensive, but really nice. We did have some problems there with our very limited ability to speak French. Not horrible problems as you could see by my review from that stay but enough to feel like a total idiot when asking for something. The Millesime Hotel rooms were not fancy but had everything we needed. It was spotless and had free wifi. They gave us three wifi codes, one for each computer and one for our phone. We never had a single problem with signing in or out on the system. We gave them a thumb drive with our boarding passes and they printed them for us on the spot. We felt like valued guests and our terrible French was a non-issue. We did have the their breakfast on a day or so which had cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, juices, coffee, yogurts and baked goods. The breakfast room had a very nice atmosphere. If you want eggs, bacon and that kind of stuff, it was "extra" over the basic breakfast fee. The lady who ran the show in the breakfast room was like a magician who appeared the minute you thought to yourself, "Gee, I'd love more coffee". Really friendly and warm. All the front desk people were welcoming and very kind and greeted us on all our comings and goings. We had a "superior" room which had a street view and was still very quiet. A few days before our arrival they emailed us asking about our specific arrival time and also asking if there was anything they could do to make our stay there better. This has never happened for us in any of our travels. This hotel is not fancy but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go back again. There is an elevator and a small charming courtyard. I highly recommend this place.

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights - a little expensive but it was in a great location off st Germain, it was clean and comfortable and the service was good - but wifi was a bit fussy as you needed to log in each time it was used - otherwise all ok

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your kind review concerning your stay at the Millesime Hotel.

We are glad that you enjoyed the great location of the hotel and we are happy that you feel the hotel was clean and comfortable and service good!

Saint Germain des Prés is most central in the heart of Paris, close to many sights and main spots of interest. Hotel rates in this area are indeed higher than in some other parts of Paris, though, you can be sure to get good value at the Millesime Hotel, since the size of our rooms is much above Paris standards.

We hope we will have the occasion to welcome you back on the future

All the best

First time in Paris so can't compare it to any other Parisian hotel, but loved the reception, courtyard and breakfast room decor and atmosphere.

Friendly staff who were chatty in English and helped me with my awful French (laughing with me, not at me!).

Nice bedroom, with blessed air-conditioning, a mini bar fridge and quiet at night. Pity the shower in the bathroom wasn't very great but that was the only issue.

Great location just ten min walk from Seine, Louvre, Notre Dame. Fifteen from Musee d'Orsay and Tuileries. Lots of great restaurants, cafes etc in the area too.

The Millesime is in an area of St Germain filled with galleries, antique-dealers and smart interior design shops, with plenty of good restaurants and cafes nearby. It's an easy Metro-ride from the Gare du Nord if you arrive by Eurostar. The hotel is fairly small and not super-luxurious but we had few complaints. Our room (a 'superior room') was clean, comfortable and, despite overlooking the street, extremely quiet. Breakfast (in the basement dining room) was what you'd expect from this grade of French hotel. The staff were uniformly helpful and charming. Some minor quibbles - for example the key card to unlock the door was irritatingly temperamental - but we'd certainly stay here again. We paid about 200 euros a night for B&B which seemed decent value for this expensive part of town.

My husband and I stayed 6 nights in this quaint hotel, and we loved everything about it. From the outside entrance, down to the cutest basement ever, we couldn't have been more satisfied with our stay in Paris. We went during the winter time (first week in February), and the hotel offered a great deal for us: 1 free ride from the airport, daily breakfast buffet (included), free river cruise, and 1 free nights stay-all at a discounted rate! Our hotel room was a decent size for Paris standard. I would say its equivalent to a standard queen size bed hotel room in the U.S. We had a great view looking over our balcony of Rue Jacob, and the bathroom was bigger than I had expected. The only strange thing I found about the hotel room is the shower door. It is a tub shower with only half a door pane, and at first glance, I thought for sure water would spill out everywhere...but to my surprise, it didn't! It's kind of difficult to explain, but I was fascinated with the design. The hotel offers free wifi, but it's not as strong in the room as it is downstairs in the lobby. No big deal. The TV in the room is fairly outdated, and I think there was only 1 decent channel to watch, but again, you're in Paris, so who really needs a TV. The best part of the hotel is the FRIENDLY and HELPFUL staff, as well as the breakfast buffet! We are very used to American breakfast-scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, pancakes, etc...., but surprisingly, we didn't get sick of eating cold meats, cereal, and bread for breakfast, and it was plenty filling! The front desk staff answered all our million questions we had throughout the week, and gave us great recommendations for restaurants, train routes, directions, etc. Everyone spoke English, and were more than willing to accommodate every request. The location of the hotel itself is remarkable. It is truly centrally located. It was a 10 minute walk to the Louvre, and was surrounded by so many great restaurants. I LOVED every part of our first trip to Paris, and we will be staying at Millesime the next time we're back!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 20, and although it faced the main street, it wasn't loud at all. Rue Jacob i...

Dear Madam,

In behalf of all the team I would like to thank you for this fantastic feedback about your recent stay at the Millesime Hotel.

We are thrilled that you loved everything about your first trip to Paris and that you could not have been more satisfied with your stay!

Thank you for your kind comments about the booked deal, your room, breakfast, the friendly staff and of course the location!

Concerning our TVs, it is true that our flat-screens are not the latest versions. Though, we are happy to announce that we will very soon be equipping all rooms with brand new ones and that, at that occasion, we will also add additional channels for our international customers.

Looking forward to welcoming you back very soon

We stayed here in early February 2014. The room was small, but that's the norm for European hotels in older buildings. The bathroom was generously sized with a small table to put your toiletries on next to the sink. The staff was outstanding. Every coming and going was greeted with a cheery "Bonjour" or "Bon Soir". Additionally they were very responsive when we asked for information of any kind. The breakfast was a typical European buffet and you could order eggs at an additional small cost if you liked. The only downside to our room (which opened to the quiet Rue Jacob below) was that we had a hard time controlling the heat. However, we never asked for help so I can't fault the hotel. We would stay here again!

This is a typical Parisian small hotel in a great location at the heart of St Germain. The facilities are typical of this type of hotel, fairly basic but clean and tidy ! The breakfast is more than adequate. Overall good value for money.
