“A gem”
Reviewed 2 January 2014

After reading various reviews about Reed, we had the opportunity to dine here and found it just delightful. It is amazing that one person can prepare and serve the delicious meals, and also be so warm and welcoming to her guests.

“Charming and delicious”
Reviewed 26 December 2013

Catherine's restaurant is on a quiet little street in the 7th, in my favorite neighbourhood in Paris. We walked by a few times at night on our way home to our rented apartment and thought it looked cozy and charming with an interesting menu posted in the window. We popped in one night without a reservation hoping to secure a table and we were happy that we could be accommodated. We ordered duck confit and osso buco and a bottle of wine and thoroughly enjoyed both the meal and the atmosphere. The owner hosts the entire dinner herself, seating guests, cooking the dishes and serving tables. We chatted with Catherine afterwards and booked again for a few nights later. Our second experience was just as lovely and we chatted with other guests and relaxed after a day of wandering the city. We give Reed an enthusiastic two thumbs up and look forward to dining there again next fall.

“Fantasic”
Reviewed 19 December 2013

Had dinner at Reed for our last night in Paris. Catherine Reed is just a joy to be around the food she prepared for us was just spectacular who would of ever thought that Celery Root and Apple go together, but boy do they what a fantastic soup. Everything on the menu was delicious and perfectly prepared Catherine picked us a very nice bottle of wine to go with dinner. My only regret is that this place is 4500miles away or I would eat there all the time.

Reviewed 17 December 2013 via mobile

We did her cooking class last week and decided to have our last dinner with her what a grest idea. Her soup of the day was acelery root and apple it was delicious. My wife had the tomato tart and i had a pear and roquefort salad as starters that were just fantastic. Our mains were her Beef Cheeks and her Pumpkin Risotto the were fantastic and the portions were huge we couldn't even eat desert. If you are looking for a small unique restsurant take a look at REED you will not regret it.

“Food is simply AMAZING”
Reviewed 13 December 2013 via mobile

I was traveling on business and decided to stop in on a Friday night for dinner. The restaurant is quite cozy so make sure you have a reservation. It was a bit rainy when I came so I was about 10 mins late and the chef/owner seemed annoyed. Eventually she warmed up a bit. If you want an amazing culinary experience (minus the service), then go, go, go. You won't regret it! Just know that service will be lacking because Ms. Reed is a one-woman shop. She does everything herself (and I do mean everything)!!
