The hotel is located in the much hyped area of paris champs elysse which has definetly proved to be one of the most happening places in paris. It it a minute walk away from Arc de Triompe (a famous and magnificant sight seeing location) and a lane away from Lido and other crowded cafes and restaurants. The hotel is not very huge but nevertheless cosy. Standard rooms are fair sized, neat, comfortable and well ventilated. Service is efficent and spontaneous. The staff is courteous and treats customers just like they would want to be treated. The breakfeast has limited options and is not a lavish one. Rooms have an average view of the street. It was definetly a value for money and an amazing experience for us to relish.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a room on the fifth floor in order to have an additional balcony. Also they fa...

We have stayed there three times and it is excellent. Small but that is an advantage. Great location -- one block from the Arc d'Triomphe. Get a room on 7th floor (more expensive but worth it) with a porch view of the Arc. Seventh floor rooms get a bottle of champagne. Quiet, great service and staff, and the restaurant is great for French or American breakfast. Staff can also assist with reservations at restaurant's or attractions.

Room Tip: See above, seventh floor is the best but will cost a little more, but well worth it.

Location is fantastic, just off from the Champs Élysées and 100m from the Arc de Triomphe. The place is small (boutique if you prefer), with very limited facilities - small restaurant, no separate bar (just the lobby area) and no gym (a must for me when travelling on business) which was disappointing. Rooms were quite tired and the bed was two singles pushed together with a gap in the middle. Food was fine, but limited. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I stayed here at the Radisson Blu Champs Elysees in April and loved it. The location is great, right near the Etoile (Charles De Gaulle) metro stop, and a half-block off Champs Elysees (which is good -- don't want to be ON the street to avoid the noise). The rooms were clean and modernized; I loved the dark wood floors and the renovated bathrooms (which were also VERY LARGE). I do wish their tubs/showers had full curtains/doors; their tubs/showers, like many other Parisian hotels', had a small flap of a shower door that did very little to prevent the shower from flooding the bathroom, no matter how you oriented the shower head or how short your shower was.

I stayed here on points, and the value proposition was FANTASTIC. As a Carlson Gold, I was NOT given an upgrade, but I never expect one. The room I had was a standard room, and was well-sized for a Parisian hotel (loved the tall-ish ceilings), and the windows were very well sound-proofed.

I definitely see myself staying here again in the future.

We were skeptical about staying in this area of Paris, but in the end the hotel was in a great location. It is one street off the Champs Elysees, so it's quiet. There is a Metro stop right nearby, so basically all of Paris is easily accessible. The stop if George V on Line 1. Also a great cafe within 2 min. We had a extremely small balcony, but were able to get a great view of the Arc de Triumph.

Room Tip: If you can get a room on the "front" side it will have a better view!

I picked the hotel during a business trip just looking at the location. It is simply one of the best locations you could find in town, right next to the Arc de Triomphe, with underground parking opposite and the Drugstore Publicis 100m away for nice treats like Pierre Herme Macaroons.

The hotel itself is a little bit of a let down though. The staff are polite and efficient, but they do look a little stiff, not sure what attitude to take with customers. The place is cosy so you would expect a personalized welcome and people to recognize you as you walk through the front door (I stayed 3 nights)...but somehow they do not remember you, like if you were just at a gigantic chain hotel in the suburbs. Same feeling with the rooms : they are all very small, very calm (++), but the design is a little weird, not very personal, and no particular attention is put in making your stay memorable (water? a fruit basket? the daily paper?...). So "can do better" is my view. As I always felt at the 3 x Radisson Blu I tried in the last 3 years.

Given the high rates charged by this hotel, I was excited to be able to book it using 75,000 ClubCarlson points for 2 nights (I believe they've now increased the number of points you need). This was for an executive room including breakfast. I thought that a hotel that charged 400 euros a night would be "special."

Overall, though, I can't say this property is special. The location is special, a block from the Champs Elysees and very close to the Arc de Triomphe (we could see the Arc from a side window in our room -- there are no "full on views"). But the hotel lobby is small and the rooms are pretty ordinary: 4 stars at best. Nothing luxurious about the hotel, and I've stayed at lots of mid-tier European hotels that charged much less per room and were just nicer. No wow factor at all.

The staff was friendly, and breakfast was good (you'd never pay for it, though, if it weren't included in your room rate). It's not a buffet, but a full English breakfast cooked at brought to your table.

If I were using ClubCarlson points again in Paris, I'd probably consider a different hotel the next time. And if I were paying this much for a Paris hotel room, I'd definitely try someplace else. I would think you could get something roughly equivalent for far less money.
