“Wonderful Hotel in Paris”
Reviewed 5 December 2013

Had a wonderful time in Paris staying at the Hotel Saint Germain. The rooms were nicely decorated and very clean, we were lucky enough to even have a view of the Eiffel Tower from our room! Breakfast was great, plenty of bread, croissants & pastries even right at the end of the breakfast sitting.
The staff were extremely kind and could not have been more helpful in recommending sites and restaurants.
Cannot recommend Hotel Saint Germain highly enough, we can't wait to return. Thank you!

I booked this hotel based on previous revues for my parents 50th wedding anniversary trip to Paris.
From the very first email sent prior to their arrival to the check out , it was the best hotel experience EVER !!!!
Hotel stuff in our case Slim and Pierre were phenomenal. They don't provide just service. They provide unmatchable care that i have never experienced anywhere in the world. And i travel on a weekly basis.
They even bought some stuff at my request and placed them in the room.
Every email across the idea took just few seconds to get a response. Someone always working....
Rooms small but hey thats France , Europe we expected exactly that.
Besides you just come to sleep there :) 23 out of 24 hours you spending outside right? And those beds ??? Ulala !!!! :):):) so comfortable !!!
Breakfast fantastic and so fresh. Plenty to eat , great service there as well.
Need help booking anything anywhere ? Just ask at the front desk. It will b taken care of.
My parents who do not speak either French or English said they felt like there were at home oasis there.
They would come back anytime in a heartbeat and I will definitely stay there with my family this coming summer while visiting France.
So bottom line if u planning a trip to Paris i would not even bother checking out other places - go for
this wonderful place. U will not be disappointed.

We have stayed here before and both times have been wonderful. The hotel is in a great location being both close to the subway or a short walk down to the D'Orsay or the beautiful Rodin museum. If you are a foodie, then you will enjoy the proximity to the Grand Epicerie. Rue du Bac on which the hotel is located offers many dining options if you don't feel like traveling further afield.
As for the staff at the hotel, you will find them very charming and always willing to help. The breakfast in the morning is very nice- you will have a selection of sweet breads, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juices, and of course hot coffee. We cannot wait to stay here again.

We have been staying at the St. Germain for years, and it never disappoints. The staff is exceedingly friendly, helpful, and very professional. The entire hotel was recently renovated, while retaining all its charm. The rooms are decorated in a 19th-century style, yet they are well-equipped for a comfortable stay. The free in-room wifi works perfectly. Over the years, we have seen the continental breakfast expand with fresh fruits, yogurt, and cereal, while there are still those wonderful breads. The location is terrific, a block from the Metro yet on a bustling, narrow, chic street. There are numerous bistros and restaurants a short walk away, as well as Le Bon Marche. The Hotel St. Germain sets the tone for a perfect Parisian stay.

Room Tip: First floor rooms have high ceilings. The junior suite includes a fold-out couch to accommodate a ch...

Just returned from Paris on Sunday, Nov. 24th. The Hotel Saint Germain really made our trip for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. The hotel is lovely. The rooms are on the small side, but are very nice. We had a standard double-bath, so we had room to maneuver. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. The location was excellent. The metro was a block away making it extremely easy to get around. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. They helped us to make reservations for a special night out. I have to say Pierre has lived up to his glowing praises that were in previous reviews. I would not hesitate to to recommend or stay here again, especially for first time newbies like ourselves to Paris.

Excellent hotel - well situated on a typical Parisian street - not touristy at all but within easy reach of Musee D'Orsay and other attractions. The rooms are well appointed and very clean. The receptionists could not have been more helpful. The breakfast was good and the common area was excellent for a small hotel - A highly enjoyable stay.

A quaint and charming hotel in the middle of Rue du Bac. We love the shops, cafes and brasseries close by. If you walk even farther down towards Sevres.. La Grande Epicerie (Gourmet grocery at Le Bon Marche) is right there. Closest Metro exits are Rue Du Bac or Solferino or Sevres Babylone. So as you see, it is quite accessible!

Our room is on the 2nd floor facing the street. The thick pane window blocks some noise.. but if Trucks (les camiones) or ambulances pass by, you can hear them slightly. So far it hasn't really bothered us.

Front desk staff is accommodating, friendly and professional.

Why not 5 *? There were about 6 hair strands on the bed sheet and comforter upon inspection as soon as we first entered our room ( we always inspect that in every hotel room we go to). It sort of bothered us but we just picked it off and tried cleaning it off as much as we can. We decided to sleep on top of the comforter.

Besides that, the WiFi is fast and reliable. Free Continental Breakfast is provided which we will try tomorrow morning.

Check-out is 12 noon. You can leave your luggage at the front desk if your flight leaves later.

Room Tip: If you want a more quiet room, ask for the rooms away front he main street.
