5 of us had three rooms for 5 nights in June. The hotel is on a quiet, tree-lined street and was recently remodeled. For our first trip to Paris we were prepared for small rooms but were surprised just how small they were. Having said that, this was one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. While the rooms were small, they were comfortable with clean white linens, a bar fridge, a safe (I never did get mine to work), air conditioning and flat screen tv. Two of the three rooms we had on the fourth floor faced each other across a small central courtyard so didn't have a view. The third room had a nice view of the street. The bathroom in my room was miniscule and one of the shower doors wouldn't open because the sink got in the way which was an issue because I'm a big guy. I did, however, manage to get in and out of the shower.

The hotel is about equal distance from Place de Clichy and Rome Metro stations which makes it convenient to get to wherever you need to go in the city. The hotel was also a short walk from Moulin Rouge which we attended on a Friday night. There are cafes (Augustin/Terasse 17) and shops nearby and you can get anything you need within a couple of minutes. We tended to head towards Place de Clichy to catch the Metro

The staff were, for the most part, friendly and if you tried a little bit of French they would work with you. The young girl working our first night was very helpful getting us 2 cabs in a downpour. We all had issues with our room safes but the staff got them sorted out. I was the only one that tried the breakfast which was okay. It was just as easy to stop on the way to the Metro in the morning and pick up a croissant and a cup of coffee for half the cost.

For the most part, we were in our room only to sleep and change clothes before dinner or a show. If you're looking for spacious, this is not the hotel for you but if you're looking for a comfortable, clean room at a reasonable price (for Paris) then I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Paris.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a view of the street.

Very well situated between Metro stations Rome and Place de Clichy (same distance) - it means not far from Pigalle and Montmartre (Sacré Coeur)

Would recommend room 105 on 1st floor as at the corner it is bigger ...We had the 104, nice but small bathroom and not much space in the room but very well decorated (baroque) - must have been renovated not so long ago as paintings are still clean (no traces on walls)

Breakfast (self service) in the ceiling very good - you can find bread for toasts or baguette (à la française), croissant, chocolate rolls etc...boiled eggs, cheese, ham but no "english" sausages and tomatoes etc.... this is plain simple but enough...

Room Tip: Room 105 on 1st floor seems bigger as at the corner (104 small bathroom with douche and toilet) and...

Having stayed at the old Hotel Batignolles Villiers which was old and very tired, I am pleased there is much more behind Hotel B Square than just a name change! Staff is friendly and helpful. My single on the top floor was small, but spotless, with a flat screen and nice bed. The family suite on the ground floor was perfect for the weekend with four people. Very roomy for Paris standards. Nice that the "kids bed" was around a corner from the main bed, giving everyone a sense of privacy.

Yes, the location IS away from the tourist traps, in the lovely 17th district. This is a neighborhood, really a village feel. Metro is convenient to go to all the sites. Pleanty of restaurants in every direction (I recommend Ripaille around the corner).

Room Tip: For up to four people, go with the family suite on the ground floor, no other sleeping rooms anywher...

Me and my friend stayed here for 2 nights. The room was nice and clean. The save didn't work and when we called the reception the answer was "I'm too busy sorry, I will come tomorrow". Unfortunatly that was the same answer we got the next day.
Also when we asked for help to call a taxi for us or at least give us a taxi phone number we got a "No". (We were stuck in snowy Oberkampf. Apparently it's not easy to get a taxi at night in Paris.)
The hotel itself is in a nice area. Enough choice to have a nice drink or dinner, get a pain au chocolat and also handy: your cash. The metro station is a 5 min walk.

Hotel B Square was everything they said on their website. They have very clean rooms, and the bathroom was very clean too. Room was Paris size, small but comfortable. Bathroom was rather spacious for Paris standards. Location of the hotel was very good, not close to most major tourist attractions (except for Montmarte and Moulin Rouge region), but Metro will take you everywhere in town. There's a car parking across the street in the Mairie of the 17th arrondissement. Metro station Rome was very nearby, only a few minutes walking distance. In the neighbourhood were lots of cafés, restaurants etc. Breakfast was good, fresh bread, croissants, pastry, hard boiled eggs, juice, fruit, yoghurt, cereals and of course coffee, even decaf if you want. I would definately recommend this hotel to everyone.
