We decided to take a walk and have our last dinner in Paris at Il Gusto after reading all reviews which really praise this place. We found the restaurant and ordered pizzas and coke, they didnt have beer when we asked for that even if it was listed in the menu. The service and the food was so disappointing. We had much better pizza at a totally random greek place yesterday. It was really not worth the price. We saw a lot of italian restaurants on our way to Il Gusto that looked far more inviting. We would not recommend or go back to Il Gusto again. It was such a disaster.

“A Fun Little Restaurant With Excellent Food”
Reviewed 22 November 2013

We've been to Paris twice and have dined at Gusto Italia both times. You will probably have to wait, but it's worth it. There is another restaurant with the same name across the street and it had no wait. I asked one of the employees if it was the same. He said it had the same menu, but a different kitchen. I read "it's not as good" into that statement. :). This is a tiny restaurant with a take out counter in addition to dining in. The tables are small and very close, but that's part of the charm. The owner is on the move all the time. When he came to our table to collect our bill, he yelled something in French...one of the employees appeared with Limoncello for us! The antipasti platter is wonderful. That, along with one pizza (and a bottle of wine) was more than enough for two people. There always seems to be a wait so I assume others like the food as much as we do.

“Lovely little restaurant, delicious pizza”
Reviewed 16 November 2013 via mobile

My boyfriend and I came across this restaurant whilst rushing to catch a late evening Seine river cruise and in need of a quick bite to eat

We were drawn in by the fact they did take away but then decided to stay and eat as they said they could prepare our pizza in 10 mins

It is busy and crowded but not in a bad way- just the typical bustling local restaurant Paris is famous for! Our food was delivered quickly as promised after a little free vegetable appetiser tray whilst we waited. I only wish we weren't in such a rush as the pizza was probably one of the best I've ever had (I chose one with Parma ham that came with a generous scattering of rocket and Parmesan) as the dough was not too crispy and so easy to cut! Unfortunately I didn't have time to finish the whole pizza which was a real shame, and if and when we return to Paris I would definitely try and seek out this little gem again!

“A small but great restaurant in the 7th arrondisement.”
Reviewed 9 November 2013

I went here almost 10times and always found the food the best asset of this place, the service is great, because it is so small, you can even see how they prepare your food, the chef is nice and amicable, and he is really fast preparing and cooking the dishes. Pizzas are always spot on and the side dishes are to die for, but what really tip the scale is the ever affordable prices, other places with less quality charge a lot more, but I felt this place charge an honest rate in comparison to goods and services... on a final note, this is also a great restaurant for vegetarians, as there are so many choices on the menu, and let´s face it, this is pretty rare in Paris.

Tiny place but the food is reasonably priced and excellent. A very good value for its location. We ate there twice, first server was brusque, second time the server couldn't do enough for us.
