I visited Le Pave midweek with a client at approx 1 pm having been to an event opposite and the restaurant was almost empty, we initially thought this was a bad sign but of course this wasnt the case for long and very soon they were full. We were seated quickly and the service was prompt, the wine list whilst not extensive had a good mix of wines from various regions available. The restaurant is on two floors and I didnt see upstairs so cannot comment. The decor was practical if a little dated downstairs and the tables were VERY close together, as the restaurant filled up the service unfortuantley slowed and it appeared they needed one more pair of hands that day to cope.
The quality of food was fantastic and I highly recommend the French Onion Soup which was perfect, we both had steaks and they were excellent quality and cooked exactly as requested.
All in all a very good experience but I would possibly avoid very busy times.
The menu again was not extensive but it had a nice selection of french cusine and there were also several specials available
