We arrived in Paris tired and hungry. We were staying in hotel Montalembert, so we uncharacteristically went to the first restaurant we could find. Normally I would do some research first and having worked in fine dining for many years, I'm a bit of a pain.

The food was quick and tastey. We had the escargot and the tomato/buffalo mozzarella salad. Both were simple and delicious. We then had the confit duck and the lamb ribs. Again simple but delicious. And the Creme Brûlée to finish.

The highlight was the service and more importantly the waiter. Kevin was an absolute star, one could be taken a back by his style of service, in the sense that it is forward and quirky. But immediately you feel he is there to make your experience as comfortable as possible. It was very busy but he remained unflustered, a rarity in many restaurants. I would hire him in the morning if I could.

We will be back, thanks to Kevin.

We were in Paris for 5 days and stopped by here every one of them. The first night we had just arrived from Boston and were tired, but it was our anniversary, so we wanted to have a nice but informal dinner. My husband had the duck confit and absolutely loved it! We stopped by other days for lunch, snacks or just drinks - all of the servers were very attentive, but Kevin was fantastic. He went out of his way to get us what we wanted, and made us feel like we were old friends.
It was near our hotel, and a comfortable place to sit back, relax. and people watch. We were in Paris 7 years ago, and frequented the cafe then as well. It's nice to have a place to return to!

We were lucky to stay nearby Le Saint Germaine on our trip to Paris. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and spoke perfect English to accommodate our limited French. In particular, waiter Ugo was fantastic. Service was prompt, food was delicious.

We enjoyed the chicken burger very much, as well as the fish and chips and the fried noodle dish. The salads were lovely as well. Prices were reasonable for Paris. This cafe always seems busy and we noticed the same locals (with well behaved dogs) frequenting Le Saint Germaine. It's also beautiful inside (we dined outside for our meals).

Located close to our hotel, we ate here because it is charming and bustling with good food and service to match. Near Musee d'Orsay and Metro stop on major road intersection, you can just rest your feet before/after a stroll or settle in for a relaxing meal. The onion soup was terrific.
