I was a weekend with girlfriends in Paris and this was a perfect hotel for that purpose. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I forgot clothes in the room and they were delivered to me dry cleaned! I am definitely coming back with the same girlfriends or the family!!

I booked this hotel for my partner and I for valentines weekend after careful planning.
Our flight was delayed so we arrived late. We were shown to our room ..TINY is an understatement. It was the double standard but was more like a box room. Anyone over 5'2 would struggle to stand up as the ceiling was slanted.
The sky might was broken and hanging open. It was freezing. We went straight down to reception and informed them to which they said the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing that they could do. Our romantic valentines evening was spent shivering cold and getting wet in bed (it was raining) as the bed was directly under the sky light! We also found a dirty sock from the last guest in our room so I'm not entirely convinced that they even cleaned properly!
The second night they moved us to a deluxe room. This was better and bigger. If for some unknown reason you do decide to book with this hotel make sure you go for the Deluxe room.
When we checked out we were asked by the receptionist whether we enjoyed our stay. We said no but she just looked at us blankly and continued to print off our invoice. No discount for the first night was offered at all!
Despite our terrible room and staff who don't care the hotel was in a good location about half a mile from the gare du Norde and there are plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby.

We booked this hotel after careful research and we were not disappointed. The hotel was easy to find from the Gare Du Nord and the staff were friendly when greeting us. The lift in the hotel was so small there was no space after we got in with a medium sized suitcase (in case of a breakdown, my other half decided we'd use the stairs for the remainder of our stay :P). We stayed in room 407 which is called a superior room but is only the size of a typical double room (we knew that rooms in Paris are small). The bathroom was very clean and new, the decor of the room was trendy and we had everything we needed to stay for 3 nights. The breakfast was 12 euro per person so we didn't bother eating at the hotel (there is a Starbucks, McDonalds and local cafes 2 minute walk from the hotel). The wifi didn't work for us and when it did, only one device could log on at a time (between 2 ipads and 2 phones) so that was the only downside.
Overall we had a good stay at the hotel and would definitely book here again!

Room Tip: Choose a superior room rather than a double room. I took this advice from another reviewer and was g...

Always a delightful feeling being welcome with a great smile. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

Location is great, walking distance to La Fayette Opera, Gare du Nord station, etc. Nice room with tub/shower wider than average hotels in europe.

Would definitely go back again.

Would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Paris.

In a lovely area close to the main streets in Opera with the bars and restaurants, but far enough away for a peaceful nights sleep.

Lovely rooms, spacious (would recommend paying slightly extra for the Executive Room, we did, for an extra £15 you get more space), take your I-pod for the docking station, lovely sized bath, toiletries in the room, amazingly comfy bed, didn't want to get out of it. Excellent for a 3 star.

The two ladies on reception were amazing and couldn't help enough, the gentleman on reception wasn't particularly helpful but I think it didn't help that he didn't understand our English very well.

I would stay here again, hope this helps!

Room Tip: Choose executive room for more space.

Stayed at this hotel Fri 22 Nov 2013 for 3 nights. Arrived at Gare De Nord train station 5pm and caught taxi to hotel. Despite heavy traffic and meter clocking up cost when stood, only cost 10Euro and same for return on Mon in light traffic. Hotel pleasant and clean. Rooms small but we expected that and booked Superior. Our son stayed at same time with girlfriend and they had standard room. It was ok but very small.
We didn't have breakfast as it looked poor value for virtually 13 Euro each. Grand Boulevards Metro about 5 mins walk and plenty of eating options on the main road. Evening meals roughly 120 Euro for 4. Breakfasts around 7-8Euro each.
Wifi in hotel very slow and one morning impossible to login. Rooms very clean. We had to request more tea bags and milk for room one day but the staff were helpful and provided straight away. Hotel stairs not easy for anyone unsteady on feet, circular steel stairs and not well lit. One lift holds 4 people, just.
Didn't see a bar but there are some stairs down from small reception area and it might have been down there.
Bed very comfortable (room207) which is great after a tiring day sightseeing. No view however. Son and his girlfriend had smaller room but on 6th floor and decent views across rooftops and to nearby to Folies Berger.

The hotel Diva Opera has just been refurbished and is much better than many other 3 stars hotels in Paris! It is really well located, you don't need to use the metro to discover many nice parts of the city. The beds are extremely conformable, the rooms are quiet and the staff really helpful. I would definitely recommend this place!
