“best meal this weekend!”
Reviewed 24 November 2013

Found this small bistro near our Hotel in Rue Blanche- Pigalle area- on tripadvisor.

Very friendly staff, small but interesting menu. We could have eaten everything on it!
My wife had the seared tuna- very well done and I had the onion soup- brilliant presentation with a puff pastry top nicely browned.
Mains were beef and venison- cooked to perfection.
Desert- we had to share a baba-au-rhum as we were so full. Very nice wine.
Not the cheapest, but great food and value for money

“It worth it!”
Reviewed 19 November 2013 via mobile

Being only five minutes from the hotel we where staying we decided to give it a try and well it went better that i thought! Very beatifull bistro only 5-6 tables nice elegant and clean!!friendly and kind waitress help us to choose from a limited menu which at final its better in a typical french cuisine. Perfect starters onion soup and risotto nice meat but my main course was a disapointment maybe it was not my taste.nice prsentetion best sparkling water i tried soufle it would be better if it was served with ice cream! Prices where good also depending paris standards.

“An unexpected gem”
Reviewed 14 November 2013

Secured a last minute reservation on our last night in Paris (a public holiday), suggested by our hotel (Secret de Paris) and couldn't be happier. We wanted a good meal with little walking to/from dinner after a very tiring few days (and it was raining). What we got was a great meal, full of sumptuous flavours that will leave us with great memories of French cuisine. My wife and I shared our meals as the flavours were too good not to share. French Onion soup, presented in a way we didn't expect, wonderful ravioli and risotto, Beef rib with foie gras, and tasty desserts.

The menu offers 2 courses for 30 Euro or 3 courses for 35. As mentioned in other reviews, some menu options added a surcharge. We were able to decide after the main, whether we had room to indulge a third course each, without committing upfront, which I found a nice touch.

The service was friendly and attentive. The only (very minor) negatives were that the first selection my wife made for main course had run out, but good to know its all made fresh, and my chocolate souffle was a little overcooked. Overall though, a wonderful meal.
