“Nice Place to sit, eat and view the Eiffel Tower!”
Reviewed 15 July 2014

A very short walk from our Hotel to some right on the Trocadero. It is magnificent with the fountain and was lucky enough to see the canons as they shot off. Great area for pictures of the Eiffel Tower but even better to take a nice rest and just people watch. A must at night to sit and watch as the lights are turned on the Eiffel Tower!!! BEAUTIFUL!!

“The view from it at the Eiffel Tower is unforgettable”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

Leaving the Eiffel Tower, I crossed the renown bridge Pont de Iena, the name of which is given after the battle of Iena in the Napoleon's Wars in 1806, in the region of today Germany.
Across the Seine is situated Trocadero, the site of the former Palais du Trocadero. Nowadays
here is located the New Palais de Chaillot. In fact, that is the hill of the Trocadero or the hill of Chaillot, a former village. Here I stayed for awhile beside the pond with the fountains and undertook some walk in these so called The Jardins du Trocadero. Especially, the sight of jetting waters from the both sides of the pond, over the surface of this little artificiel lake, is magnificent in the early hours of the evening. Passing the pond,You reach to the Esplanade du Trocadero, with the steps to the highest courtyard from which You can have a beautiful view of Eiffel Tower.

“Best view of Eiffel”
Reviewed 8 July 2014 via mobile

Had taken a friend to see Eiffel the other day. She did not want to see it, stating iron building, what's there to see.

Loving Paris as much as I do, I had to change the view.

So got to Trocadero square, sat in a cafe with a view of the Eiffel through the trees, at about 7 pm, and voila! She loves Eiffel Tower. The trees, the long view, elevated, gardens, fountains, everything just adds to it. Strongly recommend first timers to Paris see the Eiffel from this side first.

“View, but that's it”
Reviewed 6 July 2014 via mobile

Worth the walk for the view of the Eiffel Tower. Early evening sun made for beautiful photos from that angle. The street hawkers here however definitely do not add to the charm of the experience, and from the Trocadero through the Champ de Mars make for a kind of seedy atmosphere. There are places for crepes and ice cream at the base of the steps to the Trocadero, and street vendors with stalls if you need kitsch fix while there.

“Best View of the Eiffel and a cool sprinkle on a hot day :)”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

After being harassed by scammers in Parc du Champs de Mars we made our way north of the Eiffel Tower to the cool sprinkle from the Trocadero Fountain on the 37 degree day we scored in September.

This spot is amazing as when you climb the steps to the highest courtyard you can get some amazing views of the Eiffel Tower and all of Paris. If you are looking for your token photo of the famous Eiffel Tower I would certainly recommend being here during sunset on a clear day. Lovely spot with plenty of great photo opportunities.
