The room isn't very clean.. the location of the hotel is good, it's right across from St Lazarre Station.
The staff are friendly.. The price is ery good price, but not impressive otherwise. Very basic, needs modernizing.

[English (sort of)]
I stayed on this hotel with my wife during 2012 and we the room very small, the bathroom was even smaller - just like many of the Europeans hotels we've been.

The location is excellent, next to Gare Saint Lazare and some pharmacies and fast food joints (McDonalds, Subway, Quick). The staff was somewhat distant, neither eager to help nor rude or anything like that...

The breakfast was very limited and didn't last until the end (one day we got the last 2 breads almost an hour before the time limit)...

So, you can find better hotels within the same price range a few meters away from this one. Keep looking! But if you are traveling on a budget, give this hotel a chance!

Room Tip: Not many tips, just try to get a room away from the elevator since it's very noisy! Poucas dica...

My boyfriend and I have just come back from a fantastic break in Paris. Before going I was quite nervous about this hotel after some reviews I had read but I was so relieved to find that the room; although small was clean, had its own bathroom including hairdryer and decent shower, a mini fridge to keep our bottled water from the shop across the street cold and even a balcony I had requested when booking!

The staff were helpful and friendly contrary to earlier reviews.

We didn't eat at the hotel but sampled the cities various bakeries and cafes. A favourite area was St-Michel which has the Pompidou Art gallery smack bang in the middle. There's some fantastic bars, cafes and restaurants in the local vicinity, including a particularly good thai called Siam.

The area we stayed in was a great location for travelling around. The hotel is about 5-10 min walk to the Saint Lazaare station and metro which is ideal for getting around the city. We used the metro everyday and found it really easy and very cost-effective.

We were surrounded by a number of designer shops and some department stores. There was also plenty of patisseries and bakeries and some nice bars.

We did visit the Sacre Coeur near Abbesses, however I think this was the most disappointing attraction of the trip - it was so thick with tourists that there was no atmosphere at all. I would recommend trying Bastille - its a bit like St-Michel but a little less upmarket but it has some interesting bars.
All in all Paris is an amazing city!

Room Tip: Instead of buying single use tickets on the metro, buy a book of (I think its 10 or 12) tickets. Thi...

Booked to stay at this hotel and received a confirmation e-mail from the hotel. We e-mailed them to tell them that our flight did not arrive until 9 o'clock at night. When we arrived thay had given our room away to someone else. No apology, no offer of another hotel, just a shrug of the shoulders!!
The manager even asked me to see his inbox, claiming that he had never received our e-mail. I asked to see his deleted mail and he flat refused.... I rang home and sent a copy of the e-mail showing when and at what time sent, once again a shrug of the shoulders. Left us stranded in the middle of paris at 11pm.

This was a two night stay without the children. The following is our view of our experience in this friendly establishment.

The hotel is opposite St Lazarre Railway station on the Rue d'Amsterdam. This is an excellent location for those wanting to explore Paris on those short weekend breaks. It you are looking for the Ritz then this will not be for you but then the price should tell you that, Alternatively, if you are looking for something clean and friendly without feeling that you;ve been ripped off then this could be what you are looking for.

We stayed on the 5th floor accessed via a small lift. The room was fairly well soundproofed although you can still hear passing traffic. Summer must be great as the room facing the street has a balcony arrangement. The TV screen was small and satalite TV limited to only CNN and Eurosport - but you should be out exploring so who cares, right?

The room had a small safety deposit box and fridge. Breakfast was typically continental served in the hotels Pizzerie. Usual orange juice, cornflakes, coffee crossant, bread rolls, brioche, cold meat, cheese, yougart and jam selection. If this is not your cup of tea there are plenty of eateries within a stones throw of the front door. There is a Mono Prix supermarket just around the corner and The Layfayette food hall about 1 km away - a must if you really want to explore the French equivalent of Harrods.

Arriving at CDG airport, take the RER train into Paris and get off at Magenta (Gare de Noor) then take the link to St Lazzare - only 1 stop. By the way, don't be tempted to buy a travel card at the airport as this covers 6 zones whereas all you need for central Paris are Zones 1-3. These can be purchased daily at any station. Bon chance - Andrew

I found the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was on the 6th floor accessible via a small lift. The room itself wasn't the biggest but thats the norm for Paris. It was clean and tidy with the usual mod cons; sat tv,fridge, safe, hairdryer, telephone etc. And they all worked!!
It spanned the roof space so a velux window opened on either side of the building to the bathroom and bedroom respectfully.
As it is located near gare st lazare you get a little noise from the incoming trains-but then again my hearing is very acute. This is also an advantage as the station is perfect for accessing all areas of the city via the excellent metro and rer trains.
There is an Italian restaurant located on the ground floor which serves a very reasonable and delicious Lasange. Buffet breakfast is also served here.
