“Lovely 5-star in a great location”
Reviewed 27 April 2012

Stayed in a junior suite for a few days in April. Service was excellent, concierge and desk staff anticipated requests and went out of their way to help make the stay fantastic. We arrived on an overnight flight in the early morning before our room was available and were shown the spa facilities to freshen up and shower before going out for a walk. Made use of the spa a couple times during the stay, small but top notch provisions and quality. The room was true 5-star, everything was custom, 2 full baths and a changing room, very spacious for European standards. Location is a short walk to the Louvre.

We stayed one night in April, 2012 and loved it. We are looking forward to returning next time in Paris.

Staying at a hotel that charges roughly a thousand dollars a night for basic rooms sounds intimidating, but the service we enjoyed at the reception desk, from the porter staff and in the dining room was so professional we felt comfortable and relaxed.

We enjoyed the perfectly maintained room, with its fantastic bed and huge bathroom. We checked in too late to take advantage of a welcome drink, but a bottle of chilled sparkling wine and boutique chocolates were waiting in the room for us. The free wi-fi signal was strong and consistent.

The breakfast buffet included high quality baked goods, various meats, cheeses, fruits and cereals. We had a small bit from the buffet along with eggs cooked to order and sausage - the American Breakfast, I think it called. All perfect.

Room Tip: courtyard rooms are very quiet - I do not know how much street noise exterior rooms experience

I have stayed in this hotel already a few times and every time I’m there, I’m happy to have returned.
They have very big rooms, which is seldom in Paris, with high ceiling, which makes the rooms even nicer.
The beds are quite big, you could easily play hide and seek on it.
If you are allergic or sensitive to strong perfume smells, you have to inform them in advance and they won’t spray it.
The Spa is this hotel is also quite something.
Two weeks ago I had a massage just after the Paris marathon and this was by far the best deep tissue massage I’ve ever had.
The breakfast is also very good, despite the slow speed of the waiters.
If you want to really have a good coffee, try the espresso at the bar: the best one in Paris.
But be prepared, all good stuff and service has its price, and we are talking about Paris.

Room Tip: If you want to have a quite room, take the ones to the courtyard

Could not fault the rooms, comfortable bed, excellent service by front desk and concierge as well as huge bathrooms, with a separate powder room, toilet and shower. Beds are comfy and easily the best room I have stayed in so far.

Service, service, service. From reception to dinner, each and every staff member was courteous and helpful. My one complaint is that upon checking in, we left our bags with the porter - there must have been some miscommunication, because an hour later we called down for our bags which had not yet made their way to our room.

Breakfast at Les Orchides in the hotel was great - best orange juice I've had in a while, and the caffe lattes are delicious. Dinner at Le Pur was fabulous. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was impressively large for a Paris hotel. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was very clean, aside from a carpet stain that I wish hadn't been there. The welcome chocolates were a nice touch. I didn't want to leave!

Stayed for 2nights in a deluxe king Park suite which was amazing, from the fab bed to the 2bathrooms,changing rooms and lounge area. The breakfast buffet and champagne breakfast we had in our room was wonderful.A once in a lifetime experience which was made even sweeter by the fact that we won it in a competition so was all part of a bigger prize ! The staff were lovely , very discreet and just seemed to appear when you needed them. All in all a stunning hotel , very tasteful and if you can afford it well worth a visit in a stunning and chic location.

Receptionist was superb: very polite and confident, spoke good English, everything was in order and fast. Took us on a quick tour and showed us to the room. Room was spacious, bathroom modern. Toilet had electric 'rear and front' wash and air dry. Showers were great. Apple compote was very natural -- the staff explained before we ordered that no sugar was added.

Had lunch at Orchidees on day 1. Prices are high, no doubt, but staff were VERY attentive. The salmon (€39) was perfectly done, nearer to sashimi than grilled. The guinea fowl (€49) skin was very crispy. The apple dessert was naturally sweet, we would have thought it not sweet enough had the staff not explain it before we ordered. The American breakfast including buffet ((€49) was very filling. My sunny side eggs and my wife's poached eggs were both excellent. Obviously the breakfast pastries were all of a high standard.

No swimming pool, but had a nice spa and gym.

We had to call the porter when we arrived by taxi, but other than that, we thought our whole stay there was excellent, the staff friendly and professional.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the back or side or quieter.
