“Mmore than adequate”
Reviewed 5 October 2010

I've stayed at the Antin Trinite on at least 6, maybe 7, occassions over the years. Why do I come back? - Because I like it for it's location and transport links! So, what if it's basic accommodation? What more do you need in an expensive city? It's clean and, I found, comfortable enough to put my head down. I'm booked in, again, in November.
Bonjour Marianne! Comment ca va? (It's a real good feeling to be recognised ... and welcomed.)

Pros : Superb location , walking distance from the Opera and lots of shops. Walking distance from several Metro stations . The front desk guy is friendly.

Cons : Room is old , smelly , very hot in summer , no air conditioning , very small for a triple room , very old out fashioned room and bathroom , overlooked a basement although on the first floor , the window is overlooking a lot of other rooms so no privacy, but we had to open the window anyway as it was too hot. There was some renovation work going on to the dining area , I'm not sure if it will reach the rooms one day which are in desperate need of renovation.

I wouldn't recommend that hotel to anyone, I would stay in a further hotel like in La Defence area with the same price than to stay in that hotel.

I stayed in a twin room with a friend for 6 nights. We were quite pleased with this hotel and would stay there again.

We loved the location as it is right next to the Galeries Lafayette and the Opéra Garnier. Three different subway stations are within walking distance and will take you to all the important sights in Paris in no time. It's a lively area during the day but very quiet at night, i.e. no traffic noise.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We needed an adapter for the outlets and borrowed one for free for the duration of our stay. The room itself was equipped with a tv, a spacious closet and a small desk. The room and bathroom were quite small but more than sufficient. They were cleaned every day and I can't complain about the cleanliness. Breakfast was not included and would have been an extra €10,- each day so we decided to have breakfast at one of the numerous cafés in the city instead.

The only down side was that our room either used to be a smoking room or the guests who stayed in the room before us smoked despite it being a non-smoking hotel. We could still smell the smoke very strongly when we arrived.

I'd recommend this hotel to everyone travelling on a budget looking for a hotel with a good location.

this hotel is in a great location for local attractions and eating places with the metro close by for futher afield attractions the metro is a great way to get around.
an adequate room with clean bedding and towels, the portable room fan was appreciated, bathroom was clean but shower was abit dated,
the service was excellent with very friendly and helpful staff.
our best comment was the excellent continental breakfast with a good selection with as much food and drink as you wanted.
our least comment has to be the shower.
overall excellent value for money.

Fabulous location behind Lafayette Department store. 2 minutes to Opera. 7 minute walk up to Pigalle. Rooms were a decent size, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was decent size but a bit tired with peeling paint. Portable a/c unit was appreciated. Basic continental breakfast. Helpful staff. Good overall value for a very central location.

We Booked this Hotel approx 3 months before we left - It was the first place we were staying on our trip so after finally getting there after a 24hr flight and to be told they didn't have our reservation we were a bit upset... They did finally find it and we did get upgraded to a bigger room (I would hate to see the smaller room) for the same cost. Breakfast was ok but an extra charge - staff were ok not too friendly or overly helpful but answered any requests we had. And it was quite noisy - but we did have a room next to the elevator. The location was great and very close to the train - we probably wouln't stay there again

Firstly I must say that I had read the reviews on this site before going - so I knew roughly what to expect. Unfortunately the holiday was booked before reading the reviews. The Hotel was slightly better than most of the reviews stated. It was clean, but a little tired. However the downstairs areas were redecorated when we were there. After this the reception area looked good. We had a room on the first floor which was small but satisfactory - just. Measuring 11 foot by 9 foot 8 inches. The room was furnished with a small wardroab a small, wobbly table with drawers, two small bedside cupboards and two chairs. Even during the day the light was on because it was so dark, only a small amount of light from a tall but narrow window, There was a small tv which only had one English chanel BBC World News. It had a shower room which contained a large storage shelf area, a sink and a shower. The shower was small measuring 2 foot 2 inches square. There was a step up into the shower of 14 inches. The opening was narrow so chubbier people than me, would struggle to get into the cubicle. The water was hot and had enough pressure. The bed was made every day but the soap/shampoo was not. There were no drink making facilities in the room. Most of the reception staff were friendly and generally helpfull. However one of the evening/night receptionists wqas very good. He went out of his way to help us during our stay. We had pre-paid for the breakfast and found it to be very good. You could have what you wanted from the help your self area. Once again it was small and no more than two people could help themselves at once. Ther was nothing hot to eat and it was the same every day. There was cereal, yogurt, fruit, croissants, french bread, butter, jam, sliced meats and cheese. The breakfast tea drink was very good - Liptons. There lounge was a joke. it was only large enough for three chairs and they were moved every morning to facilitate the breakfast. The location was excellent with the Metro just around the corner and Galleries Lafayette and a main shopping area in the next road. Our holiday overall was fantastic but the Hotel was no more than adequate. If I rebooked to go to Paris I would not choose this hotel as a first choice, a last choice maybe.
