“Excellent location - building work”
Reviewed 15 September 2013 via mobile

We stayed here for the weekend when France played Wales in the Six Nations Championship. Rooms were clean and very large...didn't have breakfast included but the Louvre is literally a 3 min walk from this hotel and a fantastic cafe is opposite where breakfast is reasonably priced. Unfortunately there was quite a lot of building work going on whilst we were there so we didn't see the hotel in all it glory, but when it is upgraded I'm sure it will be magnificent.

This hotel is located a 3 minute walk from the Louvre. This is very handy if you are determined to see the more famous works in the Louvre as you should show up before it opens to get in line. The side street that it is located on may seem a bit sketchy but we saw no problems when we were there. If you like walking, this hotel is close enough to the Eiffel Tower and most other major attractions. If you prefer something more relaxing, there are hop on hop off buses that run right past the Louvre.

There is a lovely park located a short walk away and many cafes and restaurants in the square.

The hotel itself is quite nice but a bit run down. The desk staff was very friendly and provided lots of good answers and advice on touring around even though we spread very little French.

There is a lift in this hotel but it was very small and I didn't attempt to get myself and my bag in at the same time.

The room we had was quite small and included a sink and a shower with a shared toilet down the hall. This was our first experience with shared bathrooms and it was not as big of a deal as feared to be. Just remember to bring something you can throw on for those middle of the night pees!

The room had a large opening window looking down onto the street which was lovely for watching people and getting some air movement in the room. There was no a/c but a fan was provided. The small street can get quite noisy with people and vehicle traffic early in the morning so sleeping with the window open is only advised if you are a heavy sleeper or have earplugs. The room itself was clean and well furnished.

All in all, a nice little hotel that was just what we needed for two days of sightseeing in Paris.

The location of this hotel is phenomenal and that's its strongest selling point. It's just steps away from the Louvre and a short 20 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. The room was pretty clean and spacious (for European standards), though we did have the triple room. The bathroom was very small and the shower even smaller (9 square feet), it was quite a challenge to take a shower in there even for my little kids. No air-conditioning is available, but a fan is provided.
I had a little problem with the cleaning crew not replenishing some of the essentials like toilet paper, so had to ask my neighbor for some. I loved the location so much I didn’t let that bother me. The staff was nice.
Overall I was pleased with the hotel since a convenient location was very important to me.

Room Tip: If you don't like walking up stairs or feel claustrophobic in small elevators, ask for a room on...

Nice, clean hotel- very close to the Louvre. Our room was spacious and the wifi worked great. The breakfast was 10 euro for a small buffet. The staff was helpful- there was a metro strike on our last day and the woman at the desk provided us with an alternative method of traveling to the airport. Overall, this hotel is in a prime location of Paris and I would recommend it as an affordable place to stay.

Room was large, breakfast, which was supposed to be included and wasn't, was very basic. Staff not very helpful or friendly. Easy walking to main sightseeing though. Lift is for one small person and a suitcase so may cause some problems.
