We headed back to our hotel and we were going to pick up some cheese, bread and wine. All the local spots were closed so my wife asked if we could go to Matsuba across the street. Glad we did not get the bread and cheese. Matsuba had very good sushi, sashimi, soup and the combination special of gyoza, small dishes, and marinated beef was not only very good but a great value. If in the area, highly recommend Matsuba.

We went to this restaurant by chance before going to La Cité des sciences et de l'industrie, and it was a great find. As you get off the metro line 7 or the tram 3b at Porte de la Villette, it is the first restaurant across the street, you can't miss it. We both had the Korean BBQ. I have had Korean BBQ before in Paris/suburbs and this one was superior in that the food is beautifully presented, even the bowl of rice, and the food was delicious. I was impressed. It is very good value for money. My friend had never had this type of food before and she said she really enjoyed it. The decor is quite nice inside and the service was correct. Some people might not like the strong odor of BBQ when entering, but you get used to it. That is what Korean BBQ is all about since you cook your meat yourself at the table. A restaurant that I would definitely return to.

We came early before a concert. The stuff let us in 10 min before the restaurant opened (thanks :). We had the combo with soup, sushi, and Korean BBQ, which was tasty.

Recommended restaraunt. First time in a Korean BBQ restaraunt and wasn't quite sure what to expect. Menu was in French, English and Korean (I think!). There was a good choice and we opted for a set menu. Our food arrived quickly and the service was friendly and efficient. The food was good quality, tasty and plentiful.

I had never visited a Korean BBQ restaurant before, and so glad I went to Matsuba! We chose a set menu (as didn't really know what we were doing!), and were brought various dishes to enjoy, many of which are cooked on the grill built in to your table. A really fun way to dine, and felt quite special too as you get a lot of service (advice on how to cook etc.). Definitely recommend.
