We reserved this hotel through Priceline for four days; we stayed for one hour. Since it was a name-your-price deal, we lost the entire reservation fee, even though we freed up the room early on the first afternoon. (We appealed this charge to Priceline but were rejected).

We have certain expectations about what a 3-star hotel is like; even if our room had been clean and everything (anything!) been working, it would not have rated more than one star.

We arrived exhausted from our overnight flight, and saw that the room was nothing like promised. It was very dirty, with a film of visible oily dirt all over the walls and mildew in the shower. We had requested a non-smoking room, but this had a heavy stench of smoke throughout everything.

The walls were thin, like some kind of fabric stretched over particle board; noises in the next room were easily audible.

The WIFI signal did not reach to the room; you would need to be in the hotel lobby to use it. It was a warm and steamy day, so we tried to turn on the AC; no response to any buttons we tried (yes, it was plugged in!) Tried the TV, again got nothing.

My French-speaking daughter went to the front desk, and came back with the reply that they would be willing to try to fix the TV, but had no intention of fixing the AC, and suggested we open the window instead. Also, we had communicated our need for two double beds; the room had only one queen-sized. They rolled in a cot for our daughter, which took up most of the short entryway.

I left my wife & daughter to get some sleep while I scouted the neighborhood. An hour later, we notified the front desk that we were leaving, and why. To their credit, they did offer to try to find us a room in a different hotel within their chain, but we no longer trusted their judgement.

We had a wonderful time in Paris! Just not at this hotel. We lost hundreds of dollars to Priceline, but found that preferable to ruining our vacation.

Room Tip: Try the Best Western or the Hotel Aida, both about a block away - they were terrific!

Stayed here for 4 nights while on a holiday with my wife while we were in Paris. This hotel to start with is very expensive, compared to similar starred places in Australia, where we are from, this very expensive so we were expecting something decent. The entrance décor is dated, in fact im not sure if it was ever in in the first place. The elevator is creepy and ugly, the room carpet was filthy as were the curtains. No air-conditioning. Street noise is always audible even when windows are closed. The bed was two single beds joined together so the romantic Paris wasn't very romantic at all...
Breakfast was very minimal and not good at all if you need a gluten free diet like myself.
Hotel staff were helpful however which was the only decent thing about this place. The location also was pretty fantastic

I stayed here with my 14 year old son, so I had booked a twin room for 3 nights. First impressions of the hotel were that it is tacky and grubby. When I got to our, rather compact, dirty room, there was only a double bed so I checked to see if it was 2 singles together, it wasn't. Off i went to reception to request another room - i was told that the hotel was fully booked so this was impossible. Basically no one wanted to help, they muttered to each other in french and i realised that as i was getting nowhere I would not let this ruin our stay. The hotel advertised wifi in the public areas which is present but the hotel receptionist switches it off if he feels you have been using it for too long. Overall i was not impressed and would definitely not recommend. I did not try breakfast so cannot comment on this.

Room Tip: choose a room in another hotel

Words to describe:
Old, run-down, not beter than a road-side US motel but disguised as a parisienne 3 star; tiny, broken/missing things in the room too many to list, 1/3 staff extremely unhelpful- he failed to inform us about a calling fee for a cab and we ended up paying twice and he got very defensive and was useless when we discovered problems in the room. Nothing about this person speaks professionalism. Others were okay.

Hated this place.
Stayed at better places for the same rate in a nicer, more central areas of Opera. Should only cost $69/night to do justice.

Thanks to the Priceline bidding that shove people into ragged places in the desired areas luke this one, where sane people wont dare going after reading the reviews.

Excuse my ranting....this hotel has given me a real bad after taste of my very favorite city...stay away!

This is a miserable place. It starts from the front door--which was broken when we arrived. How does a hotel have a broken front door. The rooms are like a tiny closet. The paint is worn out. The lobby is cramped. They have trashy music blaring in the lobby. The lobby is so small you can barely find a place to sit. There is no wifi in the rooms. The front desk staff are rude. You can smell the smoke from people smoking in their rooms. It is trash. Stay away from this place. You were warned.

Room Tip: Dont go. That will solve it.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights .
The room is small , the bathroom was large and convenient
Service was very attentive and supporting , hotel is clean and calm , reception staff was eager to help . Free WiFi in the rather small lobby . As there are plenty of places that serve breakfast around the hotel we did not miss the hotel breakfast too much .
Parking is available on the hotel street only late night .

We recommend !

I was staying in this hotel for four nights last week /15.october - 19.october 2012/ for a business trip, sharing the room 303 with my colleague. Couple days after we arrived home both of us got plenty itchy bites on our body's. We haven't been together during whole weekend, since we arrived, so the only place we could catch something was in this hotel. Visited the doctor today, who said it could only be a Bed-bug. Whats worst about it, we brought it back to our apartments in our suitcases, so it spread there. Now we need to disinfest whole apartments, which cost hundreds of euros. When I called with manager of this hotel to tell him what happened he simply answered - They don't have Bed-bugs in their hotel and that theres nothing he can do about it. Isn't that excellent costumer service???? Never stay in this hotel, unless you want to bring little itchy friends to your home!!!!!
