The Lady receptionist was not knowing English and was not able to tell us any tourist information. The staff is very rude and as per them they follow very strict rules and regulations. As my mother is handicapped she was not allowed to sit at the recption filthy sofa set after checking-out from the hotel as their rules and regulations do not permit.
Strange but the staff in this hotel are not human beings as they have no humanity.

This hotel, and this hotel alone almost soured our entire view of Paris. The conceirge was a nasty, unhappy man who gave us no assistance whatsoever. The rooms tiny, filthy and dillapidated. And as far as location goes, you are in an unsafe slum, where everything is closed at 9.

Horrible. Awful. Could I be any more unambiguous?

I stayed there with my friends in the triple room, it was a very good bargain nothing fancy though. However, the location is very good we were able to move all around Paris using the subway in relatively good time. Also the staff were friendly and helpful.
I think it's good place for short stay.

This hotel is perfect if you want to visit Paris on a budget. It is directly across the road from the main metro station at Gare de l'est so finding the hotel was no problem, this also meant that we literally had to cross the road to get anywhere we wanted in the city using the metro.

Our triple room was spacious, bright, modern and immaculate with a flat screen TV and a large bathroom - we even had a mini bar!!

What made our stay at this hotel however, was how absolutely lovely the staff were. They were extremely helpful and accommodating and had a great sense of humor which was extremely refreshing seeing as in my opinion, the majority of Parisians were cold and distant!

I would recommend this hotel to everyone, and I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Paris.

Pros :

Next to train station - Metro and the main - Gare D'lest.
Cafe next door.
Food around the hotel.
Large rooms. (we got a double room with bath)
Better than average TV channels.
With fridge, heatre works fine.
Generally clean and everything is in working order.
Free consistent wifi
The manager and two of his staff bald chap and the one with glasses)
were extremely helpful. 5 stars for the service.

Cons :
Surrounding can get a little rough at night.
Room was facing front so its a little noisy if you open the windows.
But all is ok if you close it - double pane glass windows.
No kettle.
Walls a little thin ... you know what I mean. :)

Theres four people who tend the recept.
The last one out of the three mentioned earlier was a real pain,
totally not helpful at all. Asked if he could help us call a restaurant to confirm our resevartion as we don't speak french and he told us to call from the room as he was
not going to call for us because he was not going make any money if he made the call.

Advise :
Get the rooms facing the back. (Brother took the single room facing back)
Its a lot quieter although you sacrifice the bath.
The toilets are also recently renovated there.

The hotel is almost inside the metro station, but the neighborhood is dirty and far from the main attractions. The staff is not so helpful as we wished.

+ The best thing about this hotel was that the metro station is just near the house. The room was small but clean.
- One of the staff is really impolite and very arrogant. Terrible attitude.
The walls were so thin that you could clearly hear other people talking.
