The 2 male staff were fine but the lady was very sharp & curt. Demanding payment as soon as we arrived and unhelpful when asked questions.
We had a room "outside" which was also where the smokers went so very noisy. Room very tired, needed decorating, no bath & stains on carpet & ceiling.

we enjoyed the stay. the breakfast was a little overpriced. the room had cobwebs at the ceiling. we checked in before 12 which was not a problem. A room was already available. All in all I would do it again but 90 Euro per night are quite a sum.

Good location near several underground lines, supermarkets, shops, shopping center Gallerie Laffayette Montparnasse. In the vicinity of rue Daguerre with its bakeries, restaurants, pharmacies and food shops ( open on Sunday) and stalls with fresh seafood, cheeses, meat and fruit.

The room standard is what you expect of a Parisian hotel of this class. Simple and small, but functional and clean. Clean bathrooms. Friendly personnel.

Don't book a room next to the lift as you will not sleep and don't take too much clothes with you as not much space to open your suitcase and hang your clothes.
Good location however and nice check in staff.

This Ibis hotel is well situated in the 14th Arr. Close to Railway and Metro connections. Good Brasserie on the corner. Staff at the hotel is helpful and go out of their way to be of assistance. The elevator was not working (being upgraded) during our visit which meant much climbing as the breakfast room is in the basement. Breakfast is basic continental fare - not the sumptuous meal offered at Ibis Euston London. Rooms are typically Ibis clean with comfortable beds but very small - but then one doesn't want to spend time in Paris in a hotel room.

I'm a frequent guest of Ibis brand hotels. The stay this Ibis at Paris was a disappointment and the biggest let down on our Paris experience, even that this is the more expensive Ibis hotel that I've stayed. I will start with the "ok" things, and then talk about our problems:

The "ok":
- The location is fine. Not close to many big interest points, but you can get a bus or metro and go to many interesting points easily. There are a lot of good restaurants in the region too. Some walk is needed anyway to the closest metro station or interest points.
- Clean. Missed the "keep the towel on the rack if you dont want it to be replaced" policy.

The bad:
- Small, very small room. I think the smalles I ever got in a Ibis hotel; Maybe is a Paris standard, but it was hard to move in the room as a couple, needing to negociate who goes where all the time.
- No elevator. There was one, but it seems it is only for hotel staff service (luckly only for them, I must say, see next item)
- Noise. So many noises. The service elevator was in the other side of the wall, and until 22hs/23hs and in the morning starts making a lot of noise in our room. LUCKLY it seems only hotel staff uses it, therefore we had no problems with it during sleep time. Other guest also made a lot of noise on corridor at one night while getting into their room waking us up.
- The air conditioner was not working in the heat function for the first 2 nights. They provided us an electrical heater (that I had to carry upstairs), not an ideal solution but ok, was a quick solution for the problem. On the third night they "fixed" the air conditioner and removed the electrical heater, but then on the middle of the night the air conditioner (that was turned off, the third night was not cold) started making noises too.
- Just one energy socket on the room. Common, nowadays every couple has at least two cellphones that need to be charged on the end of the day. One of the cellphones had too be charged on the bathroom.
- Staff was not that helpfull. Usually on Ibis hotels staff is very kind and provides a lot of info on the city, how things work and where are touristic places. I made some questions on how to get to some touristic places and got no more info that I should get a "metro".

Overall, the stay at this Ibis hotel was a big disappointment. I have a lot of experience on ibis hotels and I like the brand a lot, but this was not a good experience, to the point I'm considering if I should trust the brand that much.

Room Tip: If you go there, make sure your room is not at the side of the elevator.
