Our stay at Hotel SAINT-JACQUES was truly perfect. It is a small hotel that is romantic and everything you imagine when you think of Paris. Good location, close to lots of cafes and we plan on returning to Hotel SAINT-JACQUES on our next Paris vacation.

We stayed at Hotel Saint Jacques two nights in July. It is in a very good location for all the things we wanted to do. The room and bathroom were a good size and updated. The room did have a blow dryer and nice toiletries and lots of towels. Everything was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Our room looked out over the street and was a great view. I read complaints of the noise in other reviews, but we had no problem and left our window open all night. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, but there are great places all around for breakfast. The man that was at the desk in the early afternoon was very rude, but the woman in the morning and the man in the late evening were both great. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone

Dear Sir,
We thank you for taking the time to leave us a comment and are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the comfort of your room and your stay in our hotel.
Regarding the person at the reception desk in the early the afternoon, we apologize if something went wrong. I would be very grateful to write to me privately to tell me exactly what happened and what day is it happened so that it does not recur. We want our relationship with our clients remain cordial and respectful.
We look forward to welcoming you very soon.

spent one night...pretty hotel and we might have stayed again in future, but despite two requests for a wake up call that would have gotten us to the airport in good time for our flight, the call never came... when I asked for an adjustment, considering that we had to be out of our room and running toward the Metro station in the span of ten minutes, I was told that "we must have slept through the wakeup call[ I don't sleep through birds singing in the morning!]...or we left the phone receiver improperly hung up... and besides if we'd had ordered a taxi airport transfer, we wouldn't have had to sprint to the Metro station" I don't like to write negative things about anyone and tried to give them an opportunity to make it up to us but....

Dear sir,
We have notified your complain about your wake up call.
As I explained to you already by email, our staff always check in the evening if all the wake-up calls are set up, and yours was confirmed without any problem. I personnaly checked if your phone was working correctly and it does.
But, as this happened to you (and we are sorry that you had to leave in a hurry), we have a new procedure from now on to make sure that all of our guests will not have this issue any more, and we will call them directly to make sure that our guests are awake.
We understand that this is an inconvenient for anybody, and this is why, for any cases that can happen we make sure that is doesn't happen again.
This is right that most of our kind guests take taxi or transfer to the airport, this way they do not have to carry heavy luggage in the metro stairs, and they leave quietly and in peace the hotel.
We hope that instead of that you have had a good stay with us, and that we will have the pleasure to welcome you again.
Fabienne

There are so many great places to stay in Paris, how do you choose and what location is best. If you are looking to be in walking distance of some of the best site seeing in the city, Notre Dame, a walk down the Seine, boutique shopping on St Germain, a stroll though Luxembourg Park and much more...then Hotel Saint Jacques is a great choice. If you are looking for a nice room, comfortable bed, great staff, and a good price...the Hotel Saint Jacques is a great choice. We've stayed twice and will definitely go back on our next Paris trip. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Hotel Saint Jacques, you'll love it.

My wife and I just spent 5 nights at this hotel and it was awesome. The location was perfect for us. Easy access to the Metro and Notre Dame Cathedral and other sights. We especially enjoyed the Latin Quarter even though I was pick pocketed somewhere between our hotel and Duroc station. We had a room with a balcony and slept each evening with the windows open. Although not a large room, it was comfortable. Highly recommend although I would skip their breakfast and opt for Eric Kayser's down the street.

This hotel is in a great location to explore Paris from. You will want to venture out to see the sites but it's great to return here in the evenings. Close to subways, hotel is located a few blocks south of Notre Dame, and just below the Pantheon. La Sorbonne is a few steps away.
You can walk to Luxembourg gardens and the area around the Pantheon is very nice. Explore these small streets for dinner. The true "Latin Quarter" further down the hill is interesting to walk around in but the restaurants seem to be tourist traps.
The rooms have high ceilings and were very clean. There is a breakfast room available and we found it had more variety at a reasonable price compared to the local cafe's.
If you eat really light in the morning, might not be worth it.
We'd stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here for 10 nights --yes, 10 NIGHTS!-- in late April/early May 2014 and we absolutely LOVED it. You can not beat the location of this place. You're in the center of the latin quarter. You're steps away from...
The Metro (various stops)
The Pantheon
Sorbonne
Rue Mouffetard
Rue St. Germain (great restaurants, shop, bars)
Notre Dame cathedral
The size of the room is good for Parisian standards. The bed was really comfortable. A/C kept us cool after a hot day out. Bathroom was spotless, tub was big enough to soak in. Our room (chambre 6, I believe) also had a great balcony with a fantastic view which was nice for a late night nightcap in comfort. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful (especially the two ladies! they were so sweet. sorry, we forgot their names). They provided us with great local insights/recommendations, an electric tea kettle, and awesome service any time of night. Even after a late night, they were happy to serve us Armegnac from the bar and help us practice our French. We will definitely be staying here again. Can't wait to return to Hotel Saint-Jacques! 5 stars!!!

Room Tip: Chambre 6 has a balcony and street view and seems to be the biggest room on the 2nd floor.
