The comments on Tripadvisor and location lead us to this hotel and we could not have been any happier! The owners are really nice and very accommodating people. They were available and willing to answer all questions and requests.

Room Tip: We had 101 and it is probably the smallest one in the hotel

Dear guests,

Thank you so much ! It is great to meet friendly people from every corner of the planet and to contribute to make their holidays a magical time.
We are happy that you enjoyed our family-like atmosphere and the cosy, fresh and perfectly clean rooms of the hotel. We do hope you had a chance to taste the pastries of one of the amazing bakeries around the Hotel de la Motte-Picquet, it is our "péché mignon" !

Cordially,

Mo

We stayed at this small hotel earlier this month. I believe they have 16 rooms. The rooms are on the small side and internet could be better, though they do have a computer in the lobby with a good connection. Even though the rooms were small they were clean and this is a great location. We were able to catch buses to anywhere we wanted to go and its a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. There are also very many good eateries just around the corner on Rue Cler which can be reached within minutes. What stood out here was the staff of Mo and Vanessa. They always did their best to provide us with maps, information, and suggestions. They were extremely friendly and helpful at all times. On the last day we were able to chat for a while with the very pleasant owner Henrick while we waited for our taxi to the train station. Thanks to all of you!

Wonderful hotel right on corner of Rue Cler - would definitely stay there again. Staff spoke excellent English, they had a lift, and it was exactly what I expected. Very french hotel, small room, but very clean, typical Paris size, we didn't spend time in the room except to sleep. Nice Size bathroom, very modern. had a refrig in room. We had a twin bed room that overlooked the Rue Cler. Rue Cler has pedestrian walkway, all sorts of restaurants, fruit stand, cheese shops, pastry shops, wine shops, etc. Very safe and most places waiters speak English. Air Conditioned. Staff made it special, went out of their way to be helpful whether it was to give us direction on how to take the metro to museums, or how to get to the Eiffel Tower (which was just a short walk away) or where to find a place that had take out Pizza at 10 pm. Even offered to mail my post cards since I did not speak french and couldn't understand which post box to put them in - post office was just next door - ATM machine was next door at the bank, grocery store was less than 1 block away. Arranged for a shuttle to take us to the airport when we left. Had breakfast at the hotel two mornings,(Little pricey - but convenient) was in a little room downstairs and just served yourself, cereal, pastries, yogurt, coffee, juice, etc. Have previously stayed at another hotel nearby, but I think we liked this better!

My recommendation - definitely stay there - absolutely nothing negative about the room or our stay there.

We never stayed here but did have breakfast twice instead of at the hotel we stayed at. So I can't really comment on the sleep quality. However, I did chat with three different people at the desk and all were cordial and freely offered suggestions and the server in the small breakfast room gladly cooked me les oeufs sur le plat--Sunnyside up. The price was reasonable and choice abundant. On the day before leaving we needed to buy clothes for our granddaughters and couldn't find a reasonably priced store but the lady on the desk suggested rue Commerce closeby. She gave us the names of a couple of shops and was very easy to talk to. Next time we will definitely stay here. The people are welcoming and informative--this is what real hosts offer.

I stayed here two years ago with my husband and kids, and I came back this month with my Mom and sister, and as long as the current owners run this sweet retreat, I will come back here every othe time I come to Paris!

Location, location, location ... the Rue Cler neighourhood cannot be beat. Everything at your fingetips from cafes to pharmacies, chocolates to cheese, boutiques to post offices ... and the Mtero is right there. Close to the Eiffel Tower and yet quiet enough to sleep with the windows ajar.

Cute, cute, cute ... well appointed but not fussy. A good breakfast, and also breaky around the corner if you prefer. Lovely beds and quiet rooms. Lift is good and A/C a real asset. Nice showers etc.

People, people, people ... and this of course is the real reason for perfection ... everyone at the hotel was so kind and so helpful. We wanted for nothing and got everything!

I could not have asked for better and have no reason to ever search for a more delightful place to call temporary home in Paris.

My wife and I had a fantastic time here, mostly due to Mo's great help in orienting us to the city. We wouldn't have gotten on the Seine boat tour if he hadn't brought it to our attention (and sold us tickets right there in the hotel). The room was small, but the bed was comfortable; since we had no intention of hanging out in our room during the day, it was perfect. The hotel breakfast is nice but a little pricey-- if you're not in a hurry you can get a great meal at any of the sidewalk cafes on Rue Cler. Also, make sure to try some macarons at the little chocolatier across the street... very good!

Room Tip: Don't worry about rooms on the street side... they say they're noisier, but we didn't he...

Dear guests,
Thank you for your message. We are happy that you were satisfy about your stay at the Hotel de la Motte-Picquet and appreciated your room and the wonderful location of the Hotel just by rue Cler.
It is great if you liked our breakfast, we try to propose the largest variety of choice of fresh products (fruits, eggs, deli's, cheeses and most of all breads and viennoiseries). The cafes around the Hotel are fantastic and the bakeries offer delicious croissants, pains au chocolat, breads, brioches... We love rue Cler. We also recommand the macarons and the unforgettablechocolate by Jean-Paul Hevin or La Maison du Chocolat !!
Yummy !

My husband and I spent 8 nights at this wonderful hotel. The location is excellent but the best thing are the people that run the hotel. They truly made us feel like family. When you're in a city that you're not familiar with, staying at a place where the staff truly wants to help make your stay perfect is a priceless advantage. I thank everyone for being so wonderful to my husband and I during our 8 night visit. You are all amazing!
