“Trip of a lifetime...”
Reviewed 2 April 2014

My wife and I stayed at the Royal Phare Hotel for three nights in February 2014. It was delightful. The service was excellent. I was particullary fond of the elevator; it was just wide enough for us to stand shoulder to shoulder and I thought that was one of the coolest parts of the stay. The proximity of the hotel to the metro was sweet as was the grocery store just downstairs. The very nice and short walk to the Eiffel tower was yet another bonus. We didn't notice any night noises as we were too exhausted each night and slept hard. Being that Paris was my wife's favorite place on a 5 week tour of France and Italy, we will, without doubt, return to this hotel.

I stayed there a week in Dec 2013. The price was great. The room was basic but was clean, had very comfortable beds and a big bathroom. Our room had a nice view of Ave de la Motte Piquet. The staff were helpful.
The location was outstanding. It was steps from a grocery store, ATM, post office, drugstore, patisserie, many restaurants. The metro station was 10 feet away from the hotel door.

I knew that this wasn't going to be plush from previous reviews but still booked mainly for the location. My Dad and I were on the 6th floor and he could see the Tower while laying in bed from his room!!! The beds were very comfortable with crisp white sheets. I did need ear-plugs on one night (I always pack them!) as a heard of elephants were stomping around on the floor above - soundproof means nothing!
Amazing location for sight seeing, supermarket, Sunday Market under the overhead metro-line at far end of the walk past the Ecole Militaire and smashing restaurant for breakfast a couple of doors down on the corner.

Room Tip: Take ear-plugs and rooms on floors 6 & 7 at the rear have a view of the tower.

We spent 3 nights in room 71.Room was small but still had plenty of room to put cases to the side out of the way, decor was dated and so was the bathroom but both rooms were spotless. We were on the 7th floor and pretty much had the entire floor to ourselves. Was very quiet up until our last night when there was people in the next room and became aware of every little noise they made.If every room on the floor had been occupied it would have extremely noisy. Our view faced on to the mainstreet of a busy junction, wasnt so bad at night but early morning deliveries to the supermarket downstairs in the early hours was annoying.Location couldnt have been better with metro across the street, lots of bars and eating places nearby and Eiffel Tower 10 mins walk away.Staff were friendly and helpfull and let us leave our cases in reception after we checked out as we werent leaving till late evening. All in all had a lovely stay here and would absolutley stay here again.

The Hotel is tiny and clean. At first sight and experience its like Oh My God, what is this, but in the end you fall in love with the uniqueness of the place. Its near the E. tower, so you walk there there and there are shops and other places to visit nearby.

Its a a good experience and i liked it.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the street underneath are a better option.

First and best thing, location!!
The Eiffel tower, Ecole Militar and the Champs du Mars are just steps way!
It's located next to a Carrefour, excellent for budget breakfast and snaks to take on your walks!
The Hotel it self, the staff is cordious, speaks English and French, they're present 24/7, and always try to engage to aid you!
The rooms are small, but well equiped, the bathroom is good!
The only and major downside is the temperature, it's really hot inside! I visited Paris in the winter and had to sleep in underware!!
