Enjoyed my stay here. Visiting Paris for few days with some friends so was looking for somewhere on the 'cheaper side'.

Arrived at the hotel around midday and was welcomed in a friendly manner with rooms available straight away. I tried to speak French for a while but when receptionist realised I was awful she spoke perfect English.

Rooms were comfy, comparable to Ibis (Maybe a bit better). Kettle in room with Coffee and Hairdryer. Beds and pillows very comfy, but carpet in my room was heavily soiled! Also walls very thin so easy to hear neighbours.

Location of hotel was great. Visible from one exit of Bréguet Sabin on Line 5 of Paris Metro. Easy walk into Bastille too.

Overall very happy with stay here. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on this but hotel was safe and clean in decent location at good price.

Really clean and decent rooms here for a good price.

Not in the main parts that many people want to be, but only a 10 minute walk to the main parts you would want to be at. A few shops and restaurants nearby, as well as the Bastille.

A great little place for breakfast is "La Cantoche Paname Beaumarchais" at 40 Boulevard Beaumarchais - a few minutes walk away. They do lunch and dinner too and was quite reasonable if you don't want to walk far.

Room Tip: A great little place for breakfast is "La Cantoche Paname Beaumarchais" at 40 Boulevard B...

Good basic no-frills hotel, well situated with excellent Metro connections: the rooms are good-sized, with a double-bed and two singles in each room, which would make it ideal for families. We stayed two nights. But the first night we were itching a lot, and the next morning visible bites left no doubt - we'd been sharing with bedbugs.

My girlfriend had to go out early (she was attending a conference), but I reported our problem to reception - politely and in my best French. Not a word of regret or apology, just a weary glance as if I was being a nuisance. We could move to another room - but not until checking-in time at 2.00 pm, even though the hotel didn't seem to be full. So I had to haul our luggage downstairs and stash it in the baggage room. We had another room for our second night, though less good - it was right next to the lifts. Serve us right for complaining. But at least this time there weren't any bedbugs.

The Campanile chain's motto is "We focus on your well-being". Couldn't help feeling the focus had got a little blurred.

Room Tip: Make sure it's been de-bugged....

Me and my bestfriend decided to take a trip in Paris for 4 days. We booked a room at Hotel Campanile in Bastille area. At once service was excellent. Receptionsts were so kind. Our room was modern and clean. That's really important for us. Certainly we'll came back.

Nothing extraordinary about this hotel. Nice and clean and the staff were pleasant. Very close to the metro so geting around Paris was convenient. However, our room was very small, something you would normally associate with an old Parisian hotel, not a fairly modern hotel. Would stay there again for the price and convenience to transport.

I was travelling with my wife and two young children, you are meant to be able to check in from 2pm onwards, we arrived at gone 3pm on checking in we were told our room was not ready and to come back later, as if we were an inconvenience. I asked how much later and was told 1-2 hours and wasn't there somewhere we could go, no sorry or nothing one of the worst attitudes I've experienced receptionist was called Emmanuel.
we went for a walk and found a McDonalds and came back just before 5pm this time we were greeted by the woman behind the desk, took me a little while to explain we had already checked in, Emmanuel was sitting next to her and could of explained but he was busy looking miserable and stressed.
we had room 124 which had two singles and a double, carpet was dirty and I mean dirty it had stains all over it, bedding although it had been washed also was stained.
the cleaners were friendly and cleaned the room everyday but as the saying goes you can't polish a turd.
room was a fair size, beds were quite comfortable, shower was powerful and hot. I can see from reading other reviews some rooms have been renovated and some not, this was obviously the latter.
tea/coffee making facilities were in the room but the cups were cardboard.
location wise its quite good 3 metro stations very near two are on the line from gare du nord so if you come on Eurostar this is convenient, also from bastille station you can take line 1 which goes to the arc de triumph. a supermarket is a minutes walk away so this is also handy
although there is a number of homeless Eastern Europeans around Bastille, we all felt very safe,
noise wise we were next to lift and it is quite annoying but you get used to it, we had noisy neighbours but you can't blame the hotel for this.
in my opinion this is a good one star hotel no where near a 3 star. its a shame because it could be really good once all the rooms are renovated and the front of house are either changed or retrained.
I think whoever owns this chain of hotels needs to take a look and find out why its staff looked so stressed and grumpy.
tip for the owner is stick the nice cleaners on the front desk and get the receptionists cleaning the rooms they can then be miserable and unfriendly without upsetting their paying customers then...
(too be fair the younger male receptionist was helpful)

Room Tip: if you get room 124 don't take your shoes off or take slippers.

The staff here were very helpful, we arrived early in the morning hoping to leave our bags and go but our room was ready so they let us check in early. the room was quite spacious and nice and clean, as was the bathroom. The staff were very helpful, assisting us in getting food delivered, giving us directions and even helping me call to confirm one of our tours as the automated voice was in French. The breakfast spread here was amazing! we piled up our plates and were full for all morning after that. As for location, its not near any major sites, but there are plenty of shops and restaurants around as well as a train station just around the corner.
