“We got our Monet's worth!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

Bad puns aside, we visited l'Orangerie the morning after our trip to Giverny, and we stayed for about an hour just in the two Monet rooms. This was the perfect reprise to our visit. Don't rush through merely to check this one off your list. We used our museum pass, and but there was no line as we pretty much got there when it opened on a cloudy Thursday.

“Admire the stunning Waterlillies”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

The gallery itself is not huge, but we still spent a good 1.5 hours here. The star of the show was undoubtedly the two rooms displaying Monet's Waterlillies which are perfectly displayed in two light galleries. That said, we still enjoyed the other artists on display in the downstairs galleries too. I wouldn't miss it. Buy a joint ticket with the Musee D'Orsay (see my review of this for details).

“More than just Water Lilies”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2014

While the enormous Monet water lilies are worth a visit to this fantastic museum, there are other art treasures on the lower level. Some of the finest Impressionist paintings outside of the Musee d'Orsay are there. Other Monet's, Renoir, Matisse and Cezanne are on display. The lines are usually shorter at this museum, as well. You can buy a Paris Museum Pass at Paris cityVision at 214 rue de Rivoli and skip the lines at all of the major Paris museums. Use the "priority access" line if you buy your pass in advance. This will save you quite a bit of time.

“Get there early!”

Wonderful permanent display of Monet's nymphs, but get there early, contemplate Paris Passport, get you front of the line privileges.

“Must visit for impressionism lovers”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2014

The Monet rooms are stunning. Amazing artworks designed to be viewed in the space they're in is a rare treat and a must see. The collection downstairs is also wonderful if you love impressionists. It's a good size too whereas other museums can be overwhelming.
