“April in Paris”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

My daughter and I took a trip to Paris as part of a farewell before she went to America to live. The hotel was quite well situated for the metro. The rooms although small were very clean. What really impressed us was the gentleman on reception (unfortunafely we did not get his name). He was so accommodating allowing us to leave our bags at the hotel before check in and again to leave them there after check out the following day so we would not have to take them around Paris with us before leaving on the Eurostar. We felt that it was excellent value for money.

Is this the right hotel? That's what I kept asking myself as I looked at the pictures from the ad and read some of the reviews. I stayed here only 2 days ago, and the room as well as the bathroom was literally so small that my daughter and I had to keep our suitcases packed and standing upright or we could not even move through the room. Yes the room was clean, no problem with that at all.
The hotel was located in what looked like an alley. The employees were great, spoke English, very friendly (this is important, I know), and the breakfast was good and they had a nice sized breakfast area. They also provided free wi-fi which was very nice. Other than that, I did not think the location was the greatest. Beware of the restaurant directly across the street. It has an awning that says Crepes as well as some other things--so we walked over to try to get some crepes. We sat down and an older French man came to our table and we tried to ask for Crepes (my French is admittedly not very good). He said no we have none. We then asked for a menu. He said No menu. I felt like I was extremely discriminated against. He basically was asking us to leave. Seriously, DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!

Room Tip: If you are OK with a very small room, it probably doesn't really matter.

This is a great hotel in Paris, near the M13 Borchant, with the possibility to arrive in few minutes (the metropolitan connection in Paris is perfect!) to the main cultural points of the city like Tour Eiffel or Champs-Élysées. The staff in the hotel speaks without problems italian, spanish, english and french, and the rooms are very pretty (there are rooms by the 1st to the 4th floor). Moreover the hotel is near Montmartre and it is situated in a very quite district of the city! Hotel highly recommended!

Recently stayed at this hotel for a 3 night break with my daughter in room 35. The staff at reception, breakfast, cleaners were very helpful and polite. Could not do enough for you. The hotel was spotless and the breakfast room very pleasant. Breakfast was included in my package and was adequate. Lots of different gadgets to make special coffee, squeeze fresh orange etc. The room was small but again spotless and the beds very comfy. Bathroom was snug. Shower great but toilet and wash basin right next to each other. I am 5ft 6 and under 11 stone and only just fit|| Not a lot of storage but loads of plug sockets and a huge full length mirror. Hair dryer small but strong. Room on the road side but double glazing excellent and had best night sleep I have had in a hotel. Could hear people next door but on our stay it was a business man on his own so no problem - would be noisy if a family next door. Area okay mcdonalds and sub way close as was the metro - couple of minutes and bars and places to eat. Not sure I would like to walk round late at night but certainly no problem when returning 8 oclock at night. It is in a city so would probably feel same in any district. Pros for this hotel out weight the cons small bathroom.

Room Tip: took a small travel kettle as no kettle or coffee making facilities in room

Great hotel. Small cosy rooms everything clean and tidy. Everything you need if your in paris to explore.. However was very angry at the restaraunt recommended to us by the hotel. It was the Indian across the street and the worst food ever tasted ended up paying full price for food we didn't touch terrible experience, other than that great time and stay
