“Good location”
Reviewed 14 January 2014

Decent hotel located on a quiet street close to St. Michel. Easy walk to the RER/metro, Notre Dame, and the restaurants located next to St. Michel Plaza. The rooms are compact as expected for a Paris hotel, but the bathroom was small, even by Paris standards. The front desk staff spoke English and were very helpful. Since we had an evening flight, we left our luggage at the front desk for several hours after checking out. WiFi was complimentary. There is no breakfast room, but the staff can serve breakfast (price extra) in the lobby. We preferred to have breakfast at a nearby restaurant instead. Overall, I think the hotel offers a good value.

The location is great , fair price. But they opened our safety box and stole our money. The box has a combination and a master key so it's really easy to open if you have the key. They refused to call the police and told us to go to the police station instead. Even if our money was stolen they insisted we needed to pay for our stay. The person in charge of the front office was rude and made fun of us, suggesting we were telling lies.
Don't book this hotel, you will regret it.

Wonderful location, right between the 5th and the 6th but not in the touristy area, on a quiet side street. Steps from two metro stops, across from the Cluny, five minute walk to Place St Mich/ Notre Dame. Room size is average for Paris, even a bit larger than some. The double bed seemed to be a very tiny double. The hotel is a tad run down but clean. Only weird thing was the bathroom door (to the room) was glass (barely frosted) (shower door also glass) so you better be OK with whomever you are sharing the room with basically being able to see everything. Wi-Fi worked great, there is a very cute, very tiny lift. I have now stayed in five hotels within about a ten minute walk of each other (yes I like this location – better than the 7th or 4th, the other areas I’ve stayed in), the St Jaques being the best but also the most expensive. I’d say this was about average value for price and I would certainly consider it again next time. 108€/double

I was allowed to check in early. The hotel is in great location, a block away from train and less than 10 min from major sightseeing place. Bunch or restaurant to eat around and safe. The staff is friendly. Room was very tiny but clean and looked after. I did not tried breakfast.

Nice accommodations and very helpful staff. GREAT and well priced breakfast (lobby OR room). Nice Bistro next door. Excellent location on Left Bank. Quiet. Convenient to everything and close to the best. Would not hesitate to book for our next trip. Amazing value.

Room Tip: We were on the street side and experienced little street noise, even with windows open.

We had a 4-night stay at this hotel in early October. The hotel was easy to get from CDG via the Metro. The hotel was close to all those great restaurants and tourist shops around rue Saint-severin and Saint-Michel Bvld. and all the Asian restaurants and bistros two block south around Rue Monsieur-le Prince. The area has a lot of tourists walking about so there was a comfort of safety and if you want to walk, a lot of tourists sites are within reasonable walking distance (Notre Dame, Pont Neuf and even the Louvre). The hotel itself is old with not a lot of amendities. They offered a morning breakfast in their restaurant — we walked two doors down to a great cafe/bakery for our morning meals (Patisserie Viennoise).
The room we had was small (our bed was pressed against the wall) and the washroom is tiny, we are small ourselves and found the space was confining. The hotel did provide soaps and bath towels, the room was cleaned nicely every day but the carpets, lighting and furniture is beginning to show its age. The staff was very friendly and spoke very good english so there was no communication problems. The hotel has one very small 3-person elevator to service the floors. Our 5th floor room faced Rue De l'Ecole de Medecine and we could see the top of the Eiffel Tower. Considering the price it was worth the value but if you want nice-to-very good rooms maybe try a different hotel — this hotel is the type you get on those 18-day bus tours of Europe.

Room Tip: I asked for a room with a balcony (top floor) but was given a 5th floor room with a partial view.
