“A Charming Boutique Hotel.”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

I have just returned from a two week stay at this wonderful boutique hotel, located opposite the Luxembourg Gardens. After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, I chose this hotel and was not disappointed.
My room (35) was very luxurious, and decorated in Louis XV style. As this was a corner room on the third floor (fourth floor for American readers) the views were of both the Luxembourg Gardens and the Rue Servandoni, a traditional cobbled side street leading to the Saint Sulpice church. It's just a short 10 minute walk to the St Germain district, the Latin Quarter and the Blvd St Michel. Heaps of restaurants and cafes nearby, including the wonderful La Cuisine de Philippe just opposite the hotel.
The room was clean and quiet, with a comfortable bed and a spacious marble bathroom. Amenities included an in-room safe, mini bar, hair dryer, a large double storage closet, bathrobes and slippers. I loved that the bathroom had both a hand held shower and a traditional fixed shower.
There is a small dining room which serves continental breakfasts, a guest lounge with free Internet access and a cozy bar.
As a woman traveling alone or the first time, I always felt very safe here. The staff were attentive and welcoming; no request was too much trouble, and their recommendations were excellent. They also pre-booked my taxi to the airport for the return journey.
I highly recommend the Hotel Luxembourg Parc; it was a great experience staying there, and I would definitely return again.

Room Tip: Room 35, on the third floor, 9 fourth floor for Americans)is a corner room with views of both the Lu...

After several emails back and forth and finally booking, we travelled from Canada and stayed here with 2 small children who had their own adjoining room. The staff were very friendly and accommodated our small ones with no problem at all, their evening bar staff even making every effort to create drinks the kids would like. The breakfasts are very good in a lovely sunlit dining room with everything you would expect in France. Located opposite an excellent restaurant, the hotel even arranged to have amazing souffles made and delivered right to the room for my wife's 40th birthday as we didn't think we should eat there with the kids. There is also a creperie next to the restaurant. The staff also made sure we could get to where we need to go. The ONLY downside was no room service, even though it is in their manual, but that didn't matter - we bought local groceries and wine, and picnicked in the room instead! Great hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for adjoining rooms for families with children so you don't have to squeeze in to one.

I loved staying here - a traditional boutique hotel in a building full of character. The rooms are small but luxurious, with good bathrooms. Mine overlooked the side street, while my parents' overlooked the Jardin du Luxembourg. Both were very peaceful. The hotel is right across the street from the museum in the Jardin du Luxembourg and very close to an entrance to the park. It's also a short 10 minute walk to Bvd St Germain and also to Bvd St Michel. It's therefore easy to get anywhere in Paris. But we found we could walk over to the restaurants in the St Germain area, as well as to the Louvre.

Breakfast is continental, but you can order eggs. I was happy with the coffee, fruit salad, yoghurts and breads.

If you are looking for a small, quaint hotel with great proximity to all of Paris, stop toggling between a million hotel websites and looking up reviews and just book this adorable hotel across the street from the Luxembourg Gardens.

The highlights...
The 5 nights we stayed there were literally the best 5 nights of sleep I've had in the last year, hands down. It is so quiet, the rooms are so dark and the beds are so comfortable. So if Paris is the first stop on a european adventure -- it's a great place to sleep off jet lag.
The location is amazing -- walking distance to everything, but far enough that it's not crazy town right around the hotel.
Our room was nice and a decent size, complete with a big closet, safe and all that stuff. Cleaning staff was very thorough.

Things to know...
This is general in many european hotels -- but for ladies who need it -- there is no conditioner. My hair does strange things after a few days of that -- so just a heads up. Obviously, easy to buy at any pharmacy.
As stated above, the service was great -- but this isn't like a giant hotel with a concierge desk and all that, so just know that going in.

We never ate breakfast in the morning -- because we slept so late (the beds were amazing!) But there is a small dining room where breakfast is served. Also an adorable little bar in the lobby and library with a computer where you can check email, print out anything you need etc.

Great experience. Would stay again.

We stayed at the Luxembourg Parc in early February and greatly enjoyed its comfort and convenient location. It's a small hotel with a little dining room for breakfast which is a simply provided classic French buffet (heavy on the carbs but yogurt and cheese are available). Bedrooms are small but have wonderfully comfortable beds, bathrooms very splendid. The location is unbeatable and if you enjoy using public transport, it's very easy to get everywhere - including the Gare du Nord if you're using the Eurostar. A perfect spot for a quiet holiday.

The Hotel Luxembourg Parc is ideal for American visitors to Paris. I speak a nominal amount of French, but the staff was always helpful and friendly in dealing with my linguistic shortcomings. They made reservations for us at restaurants, gave advice on restaurants and things to do, and were generally very helpful and always cheerful and friendly. The room was quite spacious by European standards, and very well appointed with chairs, tables, nice bath facilities, etc. The location is great, right in the middle of the Left Bank, close to the Metro, the Seine, the RER train, and across the street from Luxembourg Gardens (and the palace and museum, which we didn't visit). It's not the cheapest hotel, nor is it anywhere near the most expensive, but we definitely got great value for our money. A group (9) of relatives had visited a couple of weeks earlier and stayed there, and felt very much the same as we did about the hotel.

Room Tip: Ignore the rating on the swimming pool, they don't have one but I accidentally clicked on the ra...

We chose Hotel Luxembourg Parc for it's reputation and location. The Staff was always warm and helpful. The Location is excellent. The rooms are nice and very clean. We did have an issue the first night with someone snoring in the room next to us. The walls seem to be fairly thin, and this made for an unpleasant night. The staff put us in another room for several nights without any additional charge. The breakfast cafe is expensive for what they serve. If you are looking for a cozy, clean room in Paris, I would highly suggest staying here. It is located very close to the subway system, and it's just a 15 minute walk to the river. Also, the Luxembourg Gardens are right across the street.
